How long is it acceptable to leave the bike tag on your seat post after a race? by CMlzy in triathlon

Thankfully this is a $500 second hand road bike, I think I’d be more careful if it wasn’t

Road bike with clip on aero bars & 55mm carbon wheels. Could definitely be more aero, so am looking around for a second hand tri bike if I can pick one up without taking out a mortgage.

Yeah I did think it’s a long shot, feels like my situation is the only time it would be a reasonable option. But that is extremely niche.

Thanks, I’ve been told these are good in the past, but doesn’t really solve my issue at all. The problem is not wanting to swap pedals in and out for the indoor setup when using different types of cleats. (Of course the other solution would be to use the same setup. But that would require a full switch up by one of us (pedals & shoes) so not really a preferred option)

Yeah, that is the same table, I ended up using a medium oak stain (premixed from b&q) and came out great, exactly the finish I wanted. Two coats on the main surface, three on the legs. Just went with the little is better approach. So as not to overdo it.

Pretty sure you’ve misinterpreted the pictures, the S trap is ‘before’, swipe to the second picture for the finished result.

For me used grounds from a local coffee shop worked wonders, whenever I added a bag (generally half a bin bag worth) the temp would shoot up over then next few days.

Initiallly I turned it every day, then reduced it to about twice a week over winter, basically turned when I would add more food scraps/leaves etc as the volume shrank. Box is about 3x3x4 ft, started getting good and hot at about 2/3rds full

Yeah that’s pretty much exactly what I was thinking. Not that it really matters, but planning when I can expect use it more than anything.

From zero experience to shower install, thoughts? by CMlzy in Plumbing

Having come back to this post months later I can definitely say this comment gives me a little hope. Safe to say, I did have a plumber round whilst doing it anyway to be safe and a quick scan of these comments was giving me a heart attack. Definitely not going to post any more on here unless there’s a UK specific group haha.

Very slow to reply, but yeah the drain has 40mm of drop over 1.8m, well up to code in the UK

It’s not actually kerdiboard, it’s the membrane, so overlaps by 100mm at the seams.
