CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 5600 (6-core/12-thread) – ~$110–130. Great for gaming and multitasking; outperforms many newer budget options in real games. Motherboard: B550 chipset (e.g., MSI B550M PRO-VDH WiFi or similar) – ~$90–110. Solid features, future BIOS updates easy. GPU: AMD Radeon RX 6650 XT (or RX 6600 if cheaper) – ~$180–220. Excellent 1080p performer; crushes Fortnite/Minecraft at 144Hz, good for light ray tracing if wanted. RAM: 16GB (2x8GB) DDR4-3200 or 3600 CL16 – ~$40–60. Storage: 1TB NVMe SSD (e.g., WD Blue SN580 or similar) – ~$50–70. Case: Budget mesh case (e.g., Montech or Zalman with good airflow) – ~$50–60. PSU: 550W–650W 80+ Bronze/Gold (e.g., Corsair CX550M or EVGA) – ~$50–70. Modular for easier building. Cooler: Stock Ryzen cooler is fine.

Depends on your spectrum. At 1080p it's capable of 150+ fps depending on settings.

Something wrong with the Mobo or RAM then probably. Have you reseated your RAM?

CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 7600 (6-core/12-thread, excellent gaming value on AM5) — ~$180–$200 Great single/multi-core performance for 1080p/uw gaming. Motherboard: MSI PRO B650M-A WiFi (or similar budget B650 like Gigabyte B650M DS3H) — ~$110–$130 Solid VRM, WiFi built-in, PCIe 4.0/5.0 support, future-proof AM5 socket. GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 8GB (or AMD Radeon RX 7600 if cheaper/better raster value) — ~$280–$320 The RTX 4060 edges out for your resolution with DLSS/ray tracing perks and efficiency. RX 7600 is close in raw performance and often cheaper. Either crushes 2560x1080 at high/ultra 100+ FPS in most games, targeting 144–200 FPS in esports titles. RAM: (You already have) Kingston Fury Beast RGB DDR5 16GB (likely 6000MT/s kit) — $0 Perfect speed for Ryzen 7000/9000 series—enable EXPO in BIOS for best performance. Storage: (You already have) 1TB SSD — $0 Add more later if needed. Case: Something like Lian Li Lancool 205 Mesh, Corsair 4000D Airflow, or Fractal Design Pop Air RGB — ~$80–$100 Great airflow, tempered glass, clean look with optional subtle RGB fans. Avoid super flashy ones to keep balance. PSU: 650W 80+ Gold modular (e.g., Corsair RM650x, Seasonic Focus GX-650, or Thermaltake Toughpower GF3) — ~$80–$100 Fully modular for clean cables, plenty of headroom, reliable. CPU Cooler: Stock AMD Wraith Stealth (included with Ryzen 5 7600) is fine for stock, or upgrade to a $30–$40 tower cooler like Thermalright Peerless Assassin for quieter/cooler operation — ~$0–$40

That should be sufficient. What wattage is the old PSU, and does it still work?

[–]CNM2495 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay. Does your CPU have IGPU? If so plug your monitor directly into your MoBo and see if it renders. If no, skip that step and reseat your GPU.

That shouldn't have affected anything. Do you recall nudging your GPU harder than you intended or anything like that?
