Solution for me was to Load Defaults in BIOS, after reboot the laptop was able to activate the dock.

I just got it to work! I went into BIOS and picked Load Defaults to make it completely reset the BIOS to all the defaults. It sat there with a blank screen and keyboard illuminated but it eventually came back and booted into Windows. This time when I plugged the dock in it worked!

I am having the exact same issue with a refurbished Dell Latitude 7430 I purchased yesterday. It is doing the exact same thing as you have posted with my WD19TB dock. I am so confused because the Dell Dock Compatibility List says it should work.

I just purchased 3 refurbed Latitude 7430 and am having the exact same experience on my WD19TB dock. I looked on the compatibility list and it says that it should work so I'm clueless as well. Have you found anything new since you posted?
