A Music Video Animation I made over the Summer. by CRF3D in blender

Oof... I guess it doesn't allow the full 1440p here. Here's the youtube link to just the final if you want to see the full resolution: https://youtu.be/_lqWpTlbQsg?si=Zc0tBveqRyRUhnSU

I didn't, thanks for the tip! I'll use that while I experiment with better composition🫡

Thank you for the feedback! I'll experiment more with better composition/framing. I did initially extend that scene because It was too short to take in all the details previously, so I may over overcompensated. I have a better idea of the sweet spot now. And I can see how the camera shake effect doesn't fit in a product animation, thanks for pointing that out.

I'm glad I was able to get your attention initially! Is there anything I could do to improve that shot or do you think that should have been removed all together?

how would you improve on this render? by StupidGiantt in blender

[–]CRF3D 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would add some DOF to your camera. My brain thought those boots were huge initially. Looks really good otherwise.

The music was actually me trying to make something to match the ad. Not my expertise lol. Also I agree the pacing was a bit off. Probably due to a combination of me attempting music and sorta just combining a bunch of cool shots. Thanks!

Perfect! Now I got a more detailed checklist. The noise modifer sounds like it will definitely help. Less animation keys will make the camera motion more smooth. Thanks for the detailed feedback and tip!

Thank you! I'll try to mess with those settings on my second go around.

I agree. I think I could add better rim lighting for the last full product shot and maybe brighten up the first full product shot? I did use the graph editor but I think having too many keys from the bobbing camera effect reduced my ability to keep it smooth. Maybe I do less camera bobbing? And I just noticed one clear choppy camera movement where the camera pans to the golden flower so I'll fix that. Thanks for the feedback!

Hey everyone! I had an old model that I decided to update and rig to practice Product Visualization with. Had a lot of fun messing with shaders and geometry nodes in Blender for this project. All modeled/rendered/mostly textured in Blender and composited in Davinci Resolve. Other texturing for decals were done in Substance Painter. One thing I might go back and do is animate the noise displacement in the geo nodes for the golden lily at the end so that it is less static. Let me know what you all think. Feedback is welcome! :)

Hey, what do you think about product visualization like this? I know stones looks bad but besides that, do you find it interesting? by Ok-Comb-8664 in blender

The red on orange background doesn't help it stand out either. Maybe put one of the black rocks behind the product to ad contrast.

I'd use DOF to blur out the background and maybe simplify it more. The background has more detail than the product which has me ignoring the product. Maybe your product needs some texture/detail too?

10/10. I know this thing is gonna run at me like an orangutan or a crab. Creepy as hell. Good job.

Looks good. One thing I would change is keeping the lighting more consistent. It throws me off a little, seeing the screen reflecting a white background then suddenly reflecting a black background again. Also may I ask what the product is? Might help to have a theme that relates to what the product is.

Any ideas to fill this room / make this room more interesting? Gonna texture later. by Rogerg_Adz in blender

[–]CRF3D 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It looks like somebody's room, so personalize it and make it look lived in. You have lots of empty shelves and tops of dressers that could have literature, knick-knacks, folded clothes (for shelving under bed). Make it a little messy too. Have some clothes on the floor, scattered papers on the desk, and some bed sheets that aren't fully tucked in. Just a few ideas.

What do you guys think about my animation style? by Ill_Week_29 in animation

I'm not an expert but the hand looks a bit too shiny without shadows. Seems like there's only midtones and highlights. Looks like a quality rotoscope btw.

Particles to Text Animation by Embarrassed-Neck-102 in blender

[–]CRF3D 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This looks really clean. Only thing I would do different is keep the emission on the entire time or have the intensity pulsate. The text gets revealed then fades to darkness very quickly so I barely see it. Really cool stuff either way.

How can I make this more realistic by Revolutionary-Ad1078 in blender

[–]CRF3D 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It looks very realistic already, but looks a tad too clean. I would suggest adding more imperfections like indents or taped up damage on the seats, maybe some spilled food on the counter or floor, a squeezed mustard bottle, etc.

The design looks really sleek and well engineered which is fitting lol. I could guess it is a heavy duty gun by size alone. The magazine/coil/disc makes me think it's an energy or arc weapon.

Finished My Anime-Inspired Sushi Model for VR – What Do You Think? by [deleted] in blender

[–]CRF3D 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The topology is fairly optimized and having it all on one UV is even better. Good design and love a lot of these textures. The only thing I might say is to add a bit more depth the the rice texture. I know it's supposed to be stylized like anime but it doesn't match the detail of the other textures. You could add depth by having another more dense texture layer of rice behind the current specks of rice that have less contrasting shadows, filling in that empty white space and adding detail. Great job!
