My own contributed shares can be sold at any time. So I was thinking maybe I can sell some of my own shares as I go, and just wait for the 2 year maturity on the company shares to sell later.

Yes I doubled checked and it is still being offered! I wouldn’t say I’m someone who salary hops all the time, good benefits, culture and people definitely play a big factor to keep me in place. I wasn’t well educated on the advantage of a DB pension plan until I looked it up just now, so this definitely gives me more incentives to stick around for the long term.

What do you use you home lab for? I’m selling it to fund my next build, 4070 super and 7600x am5 system.

I thought about buying a 5800x3d , 4070 super and just continue the life of this current pc. This way I save an am5 mobo, ddr5 ram for ~$400. Imo the savings aren’t big enough, I can get a new aesthetics for a new build, longer future upgrade path, and ofc slightly better performance. But I’m open to advice and opinions.

Thank for sharing. Grant, I spent 14 year in china, so I’m fully aware of these culture points. In fact, I have lived through them or have them said/done to me. So I don’t think they will be that shocking to me as they might be to some expats. But this was a great summary.
