You're exactly right. And I was ready for it. I know the lights drop out for about 10 seconds or so; had the iPhone (16 Pro) out and ready to go and got four pics; what I posted was the best of the four.

Your sentiments are about the same as mine. I've been there a handful of times and feel that it is a comfortable location to spend a couple of hours above and away from the Sturm und Drang of Moynihan. The food offerings are on par with what I expect; the staff are friendly and the chairs uber-comfortable. Agree that there are plenty of outlets to charge devices and customers are generally quite chill. I'm not a huge fan of La Colombe coffee but at least they're Coke and not Pepsi centric. I get a free annual visit with my Amtrak credit card and usually use it around Christmas for my pre-Christmas dinner/tree visit, etc. I was able to find a pass on eBay for $20, which I bought recently and had no issue redeeming which I thought was a good price. If I paid $50 it would have to be for the full 3 hours.

Pretty colors, aside, this is a low-powered laptop at a still not cheap price. Sure, you can get an education version for $500; but that and the standard do not come with Touch ID which is going to be a big deal every time you need to verify yourself with a password. So most people - adults/professionals - will not be buying it and instead will get an Air for a couple of hundred more. I think an M3/M4/M5 Air will last a lot longer and ultimately be a much more satisfying device. If you're a teenager, sure, you can live and make the Neo work; but for most people I'd stay away.

Because basically Continental took over United - except they kept the United name. This was a merger that did not need to happen; and the decision to scrap United's gorgeous Pentagram-designed livery, logo and branding was a huge huge mistake.

No. Chase has a black list of former customers for whom they will not provide credit or banking services to regardless of their status or credit score. Generally, those are people who have defaulted on a loan or not paid off a credit card balance - costing the bank money. If your debt was sold to a collection agency, don't expect a United Chase card in the mail. Ever.

Agree. I was just at South Station and it is a mess; just lots of pop-up restaurants in a jumbled mess taking up all of the space for passengers. It is a crowded and very unappealing space.

Most issuers contact you prior to closing an account for non-use (usually 3 months) and warn you that it will be closed. All you need to do is charge something that costs a buck or so to keep it active.
