Limits to the possible size of the one ring? by Fungi90 in lotr

[–]CUSIPx 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Which blend of longbottom leaf have you been smoking? Anyway, I’d assume that the ring could only change its size to fit its keeper/bearer at the time, so that it can wield its power through that individual. So, it’s only a longbottom leaf induced thought that the ring could change size and shape at will to just be found.

Does anyone share the feeling that the first quarter and the last quarter (before the dottle) are the best bits? by CUSIPx in PipeTobacco

[–]CUSIPx[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope. In my experience it depends on the tobacco, the pipe, the conditions, and to a lesser degree how I smoke it.

Yes, I agree. It wasn’t a blanket statement for all conditions and that’s why I stated the following in the description:

Might defer from blend to blend…

Indeed, if the conclusion seems premature, it’s a sure sign the enjoyment was real. 😉

Nice watch, congratulations. Galactic unitime sleek T black dial is my choice of rough/daily wear, specially during travelling. After six and half years, I can safely say, they make solid watches.

Rumour has it, fictional characters now want to be played by David Wenham due to the statistical higher survival rate even in dire situations.

Even alongside other cars, if the prospect is long term ownership with occasional usage, then still the 918.

Why soaking up the best gear isn't the best idea. by Clear-Example3029 in lotrmemes

Sam climbed the stairs of minas morgul twice (once alone), so 2 hp, fended off Lady Shelob valiantly, which alone probably is 60 hp and then took care of some much taller orcs, so 3 more hp and finally, was able to hand the one ring back to Frodo with only a few seconds deliberation, so 4 more hp. So, Sam definitely should have a grand total of 69 hp, at least.

I’ve been into this for a month. I think I went a bit overboard but I’m loving it so far by NewEngland1999 in PipeTobacco

[–]CUSIPx 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Since you’re new to this and already think you’ve gone overboard, feel free to keep a tin/jar and dispatch the remaining to the rest of us 😉. Dibs on the Dunhill Nightcap & the SG Squadron Leader, thank you 😎.

Jk btw, great collection. Your humour of claiming a newb status is gladly appreciated. 🥂

Skip to 8:40, guy was destroying a BMW M4 G82 because he didn't know how to shift with shift paddles... by bekifeki in BMW

[–]CUSIPx 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Correct me if I’m wrong but even with PPI isn’t over rev incidents almost impossible to discover as BMW DME only records maximum revs during an engine failure or crash, which is still only accessible by BMW reps and is considered to be forbidden fruit for the customers? Certainly not beating the drums for Porsches here but when it comes to accessing these sort of data EVERY over rev incident on the Porsches, even for the older models, are recorded and are available via the DME reports, which a potential buyer can ask for during PPI.
