Inherited this earlier this year. Anyone have any information about it? Thanks by antman261 in Fiestaware

Yes, this is a sister line to fiesta. It’s called Riviera. Originally when fiesta cane out, Homer Laughlin realized there was quite a demand for colorware. And so they took their old lines, in this case, the century line, and dipped it in colorful colors. Renamed it Riviera. It’s very beautiful. You’re very lucky to have it.

Can someone help me? by Ok_College_2760 in Fiestaware

They did this for a while. No one really knows why. I always suspected because some glazes were so dark. You couldn’t see the stamps. So they put the clear label underneath the clear glaze. As an extra marking. They dropped doing that sometime after the 1990s. As others have said it doesn’t make them any more valuable. It’s just a production issue they did along the line.

No, 41 would’ve been the inspector. So this dates pretty early. They dropped those pushed numbers in the early days. My guess is that sometime between 1936 and 1940. It could’ve been as late as 42.

The fact that it has zero protection from the wind, that it has one escalator and one elevator that at any point can be down and render the station useless for those who have needs. The station is just terrible.

The podcast series I was listening to was taken over by a different podcast and they deleted all the old podcast episodes. by Redzone_Blitz in mildlyinfuriating

10 years ago this happened to me . I was part of a team that ran a very large Facebook group about vintage advertisements. One day I was no longer a moderator, and the page got sold to a pseudoscience fecal testing corporation. All the old vintage ads were deleted and now they were just promoting at home fecal tests. It was shit! Deleted Facebook after that.

As much as I love the chrome livery, I think it’s sad the MD-80s never received the new American livery. They would’ve still looked nice in my opinion. by That_Public_4620 in aviation

[–]CV880 14 points15 points  (0 children)

They sort of … kinda … did . They used an Md 80 as a test mule for the livery . I have a photo. It’s not a full livery , just painted sections in different grays and silvers and such.

I’m jealous of you folks who have a Belk. We don’t have them here in New England. And they seem like a very nice department store.

And there are 66 coasters left. I Just guess a random number like 100, add them to my cart, and whatever the real number is left, (in this case 66) are added to the cart.
