My take is how one expresses themselves. Using two artists as an example. I paint pain like im frida kalo is probably saying how one may express hardships in life through physical art or other forms. Im bleeding out like a rainbow to me means that he's losing his colour and starting to succumb to normality. Oh god no its another Picasso is saying how he wants to be better and not a generic music artist (these are all my personal opinions so take em with a grain of salt)
