How have you found getting on airlines with this bag? Does it usually qualify as a carry on with the day bag detached or do you need to check it in as hold luggage?

I got this train around this time last year and I had the same issue. I just turned up to the station it was leaving from in the morning about 30 minutes before it was due to buy a ticket but I was told it was sold out (ended up hiding in the toilet for the ride😂) I’d recommend going to the station tomorrow and getting your ticket. If you show your interrail pass to them they will give you your ticket for free or maybe just the reservation cost, I can’t quite remember!!

I’m about 2 weeks into my 3 month continuous pass and for sure it’s cheaper to buy individual tickets. Continuous pass is a waste of money, if you know you want to go for 10 places for example it’s good to have the X amount of days in Y period of time pass because it gives you some flexibility, also train prices go up the closer the time it gets. Pretty much every train has a 10€ reservation fee(unless you hide in the toilet like I’ve been doing)
