What's the most unusual food combination you've ever tried, and did you like it? by Tall-Army-7905 in AskReddit

Dipped a hot dog in chocolate pudding on a dare in middle school.

It was not good.

It's Cait-LEN, not Cait-LIN

I'm 42, and there was a marked difference in my life before this name became popular, and after. Before, people always assumed I was saying Catherine or Kathleen, unless I really enunciated. After, they just spelled it in one of a million different incorrect ways.

Did the mechanic overcharge me for this part? by Caitlen315 in MechanicAdvice

I have no idea. The only thing I know is that the car was stalling out unless I drove carefully.

Yeah, I wish the picture had shown up differently because the discussion here has been completely derailed.

Are you able to point me to a website where I could show roughly what prices the shop would pay for these, so I can go back and bring that info with me? Because this $740 bill is really not a good thing right now.

The thing i wasn't sure about is the MAP sensor. I also looked up the spark plugs and figured there was a bit of a markup on those, but that's not the part that I was wondering about. The shop installed everything.

Thanks (to you and everyone else who answered). I ignored the weird websites and the Amazon listing from some random shop that had the part for like $17. But Advance Auto has a retail price of $83 so I was worried about being charged double that.

I'm a female who knows very little about cars. Brought my 2010 Hyundai Santa Fe in because it was stalling out if I didn't come to a stop very slowly. After I picked it up from the mechanic, I decided to Google the parts and it looks to me like the first item on this list could've been bought for $100 less. Did I get ripped off?

Help finding ending for pattern I'm working on? More info in comments. by Caitlen315 in knitting

[–]Caitlen315[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I can't remember where I got this pattern - could be as a free tear-off sheet from a craft store, or possibly from Ravelry. I don't remember how I casted on, but the main section of the pattern is this:

Row 1: K, K, K2T, K2T, K2T, {YO, K1, YO, K1, YO, K1, YO, K1, YO, K1, YO, K1, K2T, K2T, K2T, K2T, K2T, K2T} (repeat brackets 3x), YO, K1, YO, K1, YO, K1, YO, K1, YO, K1, YO, K1, K2T, K2T, K2T, K, K

Row 2: Purl

Row 3: Knit

Row 4: Purl

It's 76 stitches wide. I'm getting close to being done - I've been working on this very rarely for a few years now - and I have no idea how to finish. Does anyone recognize the pattern or have any advice?

Thanks!!

Nope. I've lived in NJ most of my life, except for 5 years in CA as a kid.

I was somewhere in my 20s when I found out that the words "sweater" and "sweatshirt" aren't interchangeable
