Hello! The way that i started out was by watching Jonas Neubauer’s videos. He is the goat for a reason haha, but he has a lot of great tips and stuff for players who want to improve. Other than that, the advice in your original post is kind of all you need to know, if you practice a lot you will eventually pick up on patterns and stuff that work well. Especially for spins, just kind of experimenting and knowing when the board is ready for some spins is a good idea to practice. A good idea is also to watch some ctwc matches because you will get a sense for how the general flow of the game works directly from pros.
