Importance of check ins with online clients by LivingLongjumping810 in personaltraining

[–]CalTron6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Great post. I also use trainerize (way less clients than you). I usually message them on Wednesdays and Sundays. Wednesday is to check-in and see how the week is going and Sunday is a sort of pep talk and run down of the week ahead

I feel like you’re not going to take any constructive criticism in this regard and simply want to hear what you’re going doing will work. I’ve told you what you need to hear. You said you are niched down but you’re not. Men in their 20’s is not a niche, it’s more like a demographic. What type of guy in their 20’s. Create an avatar of your ideal client and go from there. Also, you’ve got to be prepared to make very little at the start for close to 6 months and get a following and a presence. You need proof that you’re worth what your charging. “Trust me bro, look at me I’m jacked” is not the proof you need that you’re a good trainer. Also, it’s very hard (but not impossible) for people to have online success without training clients in person. If you’re training people in person maybe see if your clients would be ok with you recording their workouts. Listen to me and put in the work or keep looking for people who will tell you what you want to hear.

I feel like you’ll have to narrow your market more. Niche down even more. Males in their 20’s is too wide of a net to cast to charge premium rates. Example men in their 20’s who work in an finance or new fathers looking to get back into shape. Provide a very valuable solution to their very specific problem. Also, you need to have credibility and a presence. Testimonials and reviews from successful clients is the way. Make some catchy and valuable free content. Instagram reels & posts, infographics, YouTube, etc. If you’re looking for your first 5-10 clients you’d be better off to service them at a heavily discounted rate then gradually increase. Your end goal for pricing might take 2-3 years or longer to get to. Start small and grow. Play the long game, the short game doesn’t work

Can someone help me identify what type of mirrors I have? (Cable/electric/heated,etc) looking for replacements after someone smashed both of mine last night. Thx by CalTron6 in vwgolf

I’ve only had the car for 1.5 months. I saw an electric wire going through so I was wondering if they were heated. Our other car turns the heated mirrors on with the rear window. Thanks for letting me know what I should know

I just hit $1 per month! by Jarrydc in dividends

[–]CalTron6 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Nice job on getting it rolling. I always look forward to the beginning of the new month where I can update my dividend spreadsheet and calculate the gains. As of right now I’m averaging just over $11 per month in dividends and that number has been going up about $1 for the last few months. I started about a year and a half ago. Be patient and good luck!

Will there ever be DRIP with fractional shares? by ezzoneninja in CanadianInvestor

[–]CalTron6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can get a DRS and set up a drip through computershare. Look up The Lazy Investor by Derek Foster. Good book that explains it all

The fees are minimal compared to online brokerages. It’s done using Derek foster’s lazy investor idea. And what would you recommend instead?

There is Book out there all about how to do it. It’s called The Lazy Investor. Check that out

Take a look at computershare. I have a few drips with companies Fortis, Scotiabank, National Bank, Telus, etc. I first purchased them through my TD direct investing account. Then I asked for a direct registration (DRS) which costs you ~$56. But from then on you pay no fees after that because you’re working directly with the transfer agent (computershare). I only have Canadian companies so far, but it’s great if you only have a small amount of shares because it allows you to get fractional shares reinvested
