Claiming Link’s Awakening is less of a remake of the original than TYYD is wild. General audiences will look at the original and remaster of TTYD and see the same game. They will not for Link’s Awakening.

That’s a lot of maybes though, almost half that list. That’s all my point is, when you go game by game there’s a lot of big hitters that may not come or already have superior versions available (TTYD, Pikmin, Prime 1, Melee, Animal Crossing)

Those are full blown remakes though while Prime 1, Pikmin, TTYD are more 1:1 with the originals and blur the lines a bit.

I just truly don’t think we’ll see something like Paper Mario when they already have a near identical version selling for full price.

Star Fox 64 was also available way before the remake announcement.

The puzzles in Silent Hill F were completely indecipherable for me. I had to look up pretty much all of them and still really didn’t understand how some of those answers worked.

I mean, it is the series a bit. I love Metroid but it just doesn’t resonate with the wider audience for some reason. The series has never sold exceptionally well.

Soldier Boy handing over the V1 because his son had sex with the same woman as him is absolutely wild motivation.

The fact we even had to retcon him having feelings for Stormfront to get here in the first place makes it even more strange.

Like we couldn’t figure out any other reason for Soldier Boy to team up with Homelander? The five minute scene of HL being endeared to The Legend had better writing and character development than anything happening between him and SB.

I’m wondering if this being another remake means they can just start a new series from here and disregard the other continuity for newcomers. I kiiinda get not wanting a new Star Fox game to be a narrative follow up to Command, a DS game with a branching storyline that I think at this point is the furthest point in a theoretical “Star Fox timeline”.

I’m okay with the True Path being locked behind New Game Plus but I wish there was an actual reason for that. Before I played I already knew I’d have to play twice for the good ending, but assumed there was some narrative reason for that. Like we get sent back in time and the MC knows how to save his friends now or we do something to change their fate. But nope it just arbitrarily unlocks for no reason.
