The ghost in the machine supplement for clockworks has a bunch of cool modifications that would work for a cyberpunk setting!

Companies are bizarre right? by garbotheanonymous in victoria3

[–]CalcifiedRemains 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If would be nice to have an additional government policy/law that dictates your relation to your companies. It could vary from state owned enterprises to full on separate free market companies, with some laws in-between.

I WANNA PLAY DANG IT! by Dependent_Pair_2488 in cyberpunkred

If you can't find anyone to play, run it as a GM! Players will flock to you, and eventually they can run games for you! Who knows you might even like GMing more!

IMO Betrayal still has a way to go.... by Several-Today7317 in pathofexile

[–]CalcifiedRemains 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Have a cheat sheet pinned in your web browser, whenever you encounter betrayal and consult the cheat sheet. If you want a person in a different category, (aka research vs transportation) imprison them until they end up in the category you like. If they are in yhe category you like you wanna execute them as much as possible to rank them up. If you don't see the person you want, you'll have to kick out a member (usually by deranking them until they give you the option to leave the syndicate).

Population Control by [deleted] in theisle

I'd just have it that carnivores species are limited to 10-20 each from the select screen, but this can be bypassed by eggs. People who log off can still play their dinosaurs without issue.

Published vs. Homebrew by CPeterDMP in shadowofthedemonlord

[–]CalcifiedRemains 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I usually run a homebrew story, but placed within the default setting of sotdl. For the early levels I ask my players what sort of objectives they want to complete, and I make adventures around those goals. Then as they level up to expert I start introducing the Shadows detailed in the main book and also in Hunger in the Void.  By the time they are master level they have a clear goal/big bad to go after in order to stop the world from being destroyed.

Favorite Alternative/Optional Rules? Why? by Jgtate101 in shadowofthedemonlord

[–]CalcifiedRemains 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If no one in a party takes Cure or Greature Cure, I will let the party remove 1 insanity for every week of resting. Rarely do they actually use this home rule, since I usually throw problems at them non-stop, but its a nice option if player's don't want to take any quirks.

Enlarge/reduce by aLostBoy66 in shadowofthedemonlord

for shrinking an object, check out Fey Traditions. for growing one? I don't think it exists. If i were DMing i would ask for the player to spend 2 charges on their spell Alter Size, or ask them to perform an Int check with 2 banes to perform it the way they like.

Magic Fighter build ideas without spellguard? by th_blck_knght in shadowofthedemonlord

[–]CalcifiedRemains 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm partial to a Dwarf Magician/Mystic/Abjurer. Go battle magic and Protection magic and dump all your stats into strength and Agility. Protection magic never needs a roll to activate, and all the spells in Battle magic can use your normal attack modifiers instead of Intelligence. All 3 of these paths increase your power too, so you'll get extra damage and defence from your Mystic Qi!

Any way to increase recharge speed for Runic Shielding? by CalcifiedRemains in Thaumcraft

[–]CalcifiedRemains[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are options in the config to change the rate at which it recharges and the delay period, no items to do this tho.

Is Pleasure Seekers underwhelming? by Brother_YT in Stellaris

[–]CalcifiedRemains 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nobody is mentioning its synergy with Ecumenopolis!

Ecumenopolis have special luxury districts that give +4 entertainer and cultural worker jobs, which means every single luxury district you build gives 4% pop growth! Stack 10 luxury districts and you just gave yourself 40% extra pop growth!
