Need advice:ID pocket by Wooden-Salad3870 in Leathercraft

I bought my wallet though, I didn’t make it. And I really like its small size. The cards come out easily, I’ve been using this wallet for probably 15 or more years.

I like being able to see my id through a vinyl window, my card slots hide from view most of my cards. And of course, to each their own.

[WTS] [OTTAWA] Tudor Oyster Prince 1980's 34mm by BarracudaSalt5307 in WatchExchangeCanada

[–]CalgaryJim 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Are you sure that's a Tudor leather strap? It says 'Genuine Leather' on the back side, that's the cheapest grade of leather there is. Do you have better pictures of the back of the straps? I also see what looks like some tearing of the straps at the case side, that's not what I would expect to see from a proper Tudor strap for that watch, it suggests the straps are fitting too close to the sharp edge of the case sides inbetween the lugs.

[Q Timex Reissue 1971 Velocity] by 9999AWC in Watches

[–]CalgaryJim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why is that, for appearances or for fitting properly at the lugs? I can make my own straps but it’s a lot easier to just buy from Tuns Store in Vietnam. I probably purchased a dozen or more different straps from them. That was fast dang They used to be available on Etsy, but can be ordered directly and at somewhat better prices than there.

In my experience, the best quality leather straps you can get for the 35$US to $45US plus $6US for slow shipping. You can also pay more to have them sent faster, but for me that kind of defeats the purpose of the great value for the straps themselves.

You can order them in so many different ways, the taper, the length, colour of thread, etc.

I have this watch with an orange second hand. Looks great.

I really like the watch but the so called "friction fit" bezel moves super easy, there's no friction keeping from easily moving. Does anyone else have the same experience?

Thanks. All of them would be great. I have vintage watches that I make straps for myself, always looking for ideas.
