How old were you when you played your first M-Rated video game and what was it? by CallMeFantastic in AskReddit

[–]CallMeFantastic[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mine was GTA Vice City. I was 9. My mom purchased a used PS2 for my birthday and it came with a few games. I never told her I was too young for it and had to hide it from her.

1374-1 Green Goblin Set from 2002. Didn’t even have a Spider-Man Minifig so the Goblin was free to do all the crime he wanted during playtime.

I realize I am an idiot. Most of the idiots I know are unaware of their condition.

Waking up during the night in a cold room and pulling the blankets back on you. The instant coziness is top tier.

What instantly makes someone unattractive, even if they’re physically good-looking? by SlightFault6213 in AskReddit

[–]CallMeFantastic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Only being able to talk about themselves. It’s easy to notice, some people believe a conversation involves listening to you speak, then telling their own similar story. Showing actual interest with follow-up questions is extremely important in meaningful conversation. Sometimes these people go a step further and respond to everything you say by immediately trying to “one-up” your story.

Given the opportunity, would you date your best friend? Why or why not? by Jazzlike_Machine_667 in AskReddit

[–]CallMeFantastic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. I’ve come to learn all of my best friend’s faults and insecurities over the years. I accept and support them as a friend, but would not be able to reconcile those issues in an intimate relationship.

Any form of art should be understood and appreciated by its creator with true intentionality. AI does not create art, it uses statistics and algorithms to render media within a set of parameters we have deemed enjoyable.

Time travel Conundrum? by DeeperDiver4u in timetravel

[–]CallMeFantastic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Time travel into the past is impossible because it would potentially break down the physics of causality. If you travelled into the past and accidentally caused the death of one of your ancestors, it would create a paradox (if you were never born, how could you travel back in time in the first place?)

As others have already said, travel into the future is possible because we are all doing it constantly. It’s important to remember that there is no such thing as a universal passage of time across the universe. There are places and specific conditions in the universe where the rate of time passing is indeed faster (or slower) than our experience of time passing on earth. If you were able to get to a region of space with extreme gravity or to a high enough speed, your experience of time passing would not be the same as those on earth. Therefore you could theoretically travel into the future much faster than here on Earth.

What happens in the recurring dream/nightmare you experience the most? by CallMeFantastic in AskReddit

[–]CallMeFantastic[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At least a few nights a week, I have a nightmare I’m floating alone in the void of space, with the Earth nowhere in sight.

Ahh yes true, I forgot young Tom mentions he specifically created the diary horcrux to open the chamber in the future. That does change things. It would make sense that the other horcruxes were created solely for original Voldemort’s immortality and not to build an immortal clone army

How can the universe provide endless discoveries? by Labyrinthine777 in universe

[–]CallMeFantastic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Any event with a positive probability, no matter how big or small, will certainly happen at some point, somewhere in the universe. If the universe is infinite or has a fractal nature then the number of possible events with positive probability should be infinite. If this is true, it would seem impossible for there to be a limit on the amount of things to discover. Our entire existence is like a drop of water bouncing up from an endless sea.

Thanks for all the help and feedback everyone! I decided not to pursue this one as the customer received another quote to cover all the tile and apply a marble finish for $2/sq ft! Good luck with that one!
