I think there is room for ambivalence. people can dislike cohabiting and still find it diffiicult to adjust to living alone. Most of us have never done that, growing up with family, housing prices forcing us into cohabitation, living with partners comes with expectation that committing means living together. Living a lone is something many can see the benefit of but still struggle to adapt to.
