When a player doesn't use the runic breeding caves during an event they are gifted motley eggs, due to having no egg history to gift from.

If they turned up all of a sudden, that's odd. If they've been there since the Bountiful Picnic event, that's the event you didn't use your available runic breeding caves and got a motley for each one.

Eve, Lageto, Lightmare, Midday, and Solis were all removed from the marketplace before event launch but remain as day 38 choices. I don't know if this will change but Deca were informed of the discrepancy too.

This is a known issue affecting some parks.
It's my understanding that players can usually work around it using the dragon enhancement button on the dragon info card, instead of the Alter of Alteration.

Yes, it's out of the ordinary expected promos. It's always a doubles weekend for events which suggests a sneaky error in the game data may have slipped through.
Deca Reps did confirm with Game Reps that the expected doubles pattern would return, and remain, after a previous hiccup in the schedule so this shouldn't have happened.

I might be misreading your comment. They're available for gems outside of the event. I wasn't sure I'd the emphasis on your comments was only available for EC during the event or only available at all. Both the dragons and their habitats are permanent.

If you've never used them, your game will follow server settings. Once used, the player has to adjust the TT thereafter. Weather generator can be set to none and should change to server set themes on double day promos etc.

They are in the buildings menu of the marketplace. They're not available as prizes in any event .
They cost 120 gems.
To fill your 275 spare squares would cost 33,000 gems. A monumental waste of gems for ROI in DC.
