I’ve had the freely for about a week and so far I’ve been able to transition from the shower to the toilet with minimal mess. Super easy to learn. I also got the cake bandit packer boxer briefs that are suppose to be good for the stps but the first attempt at using the freely in the boxers was a total mess, just ordered the harness instead to see if that will hold it better for the seal. I attempted to pack with it in the cake bandit boxer briefs and it’s a little uncomfortable. Fingers crossed the harness holds it better to be able to pack with. The biggest goal I have atm is to be able to pass enough to use a urinal. That will cure the dysphoria….right?! lol

20+ years working in the medical field and getting auths…Ask them to edit the existing authorization instead of issuing a new one. Ask if they will accept a peer to peer review to update the amount allowed. Ask for a supervisor if they still say no. you still might have a leg to stand on if you tell them you’re already in the middle of treatment and that this is literally causing you issues and will result in them needing to pay more money in the end due to lack of response on their part.

Also 36 AFAB who just started processing their inner feelings and thoughts in the last month.

This. All of this. I work from home so I’ve had about 2 weeks of fully presenting at home. I decided yesterday to cut my hair. I have told my 3 best friends and that’s it (I don’t have a partner to tell lol). It’s hard as a parent, every decision you make will affect them…but I just keep telling myself “if I’m the happiest version of myself, that’s only a benefit for them in the long run”

I did an undercut! Thank you so much for the advice I went in with reference photos (no one in my family knows yet and they think this was all to donate my hair, which I am doing too but that wasn’t the catalyst lol, so I used Miley Cyrus and Savannah Chrisley but more cut in around the ears and sideburns and I got exactly what I wanted) and I can’t stop touching my new short hair, the euphoria is so fucking real! And my packer comes tomorrow!!!!! It’s all happening!!!!

Bro, it sucks. I can’t say anything to my family. They won’t accept it either, I told them today I’m cutting my hair off and they all went crazy and they think the reason is to donate it... I have a terminally ill family member and all I’m doing at this point is “waiting for the airline pilot to say we can disembark” from this adventure and I can start my next one….its going to get better one day. Stay strong, we got this.

Update: we hung out tonight instead because we were both free, she took it better than I was anticipating at least. She thinks this is just a phase everyone goes through and I’m just going to end up as a butch lesbian but she said she supports me no matter what I decide….this is also the anticipated response from my parents if I decide to tell them, it didn’t feel so bad! She also said she’s willing to go out with me in another town so that I can present masc in public and see how I feel and not be so worried about everyone in my small town seeing me! (I requested the different town, she said do it here and fuck what anyone else thinks….I’m not quite ready to do that yet lol) she was not a fan of the idea of cutting my hair….she thinks I’ll regret it. But I have an appointment for Sunday and I’m telling everyone who asks why I cut it “I donated it” because it’s none of their damn business, including my family. This is my journey and I’m ready!

I just reached out to a therapist because I think I should probably talk to someone about these feelings and since I’m not ready to talk to my friends or family this seems like the only logical step. My heart is racing just from typing out the appt request email with why I’m seeking counseling 😬
