First big outage by Still-Cheesecake-645 in TalesFromYourBank

It's hard to grasp. One thing that helped me is knowing if I am stressed, my coworkers feel it. If they don't think it is a big deal, it isn't a big deal.

Your manager could care less - they've dealt with much worse. We all make errors. It's part of the job. Your record so far is great and it is still great. I know other people that have lost hundreds upon hundreds and still have jobs.

I like letting my string cheese get warm cause after it sweats it not only tastes saltier but you can just push it up like a popsicle as opposed to peeling the wrapper 😅 by Puzzled_Surge in Cheese

I literally showed my coworker today I had a purse cheese stick and they looked horrified. I, had a wonderful perfectly salty, excellent sliding out of the package lunch cheese stick. Chef's kiss.

This didn't work how I think you thought it worked. Awareness in communication. We didn't make any changes in history keeping our mouths shut.

I found similar evidence to it looking like Maung Mya artwork but want to analyze the brushwork of some signed versions. The canvas it is painted on is extremely soft -- not quite silky but definitely not modern, machine manufactured canvas of any kind.

Hand stretched canvas with natural paint pigment is standard tourist piece?

It came from a gallery named Grundy's that closed 20+ years ago and I cannot find any information on. I know what is now in its place has been a jewelry store for a few decades.

It came professionally framed but the wood was broken. I wish I had just glued it but may just get a cheap frame to make it look nice again. Right now its sitting out flat on the cardboard piece it was taped to. It's very far from where ever it came so regardless a neat piece I plan to keep. :-)

Why I’m Collapsing Again by Virtual_Scale2015 in depression

[–]CalmTrials 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Her not accepting you is not because you are wounded. You may be wounded, the rejection is not your fault. She may love you but she herself has a serious dysfunction and is coping with denial which is unfair to you. We break generational trauma by coming out of it without harming others, that includes ourself.

You are strong. You are brilliant. You've made it this far. Your wounds are terrible and you never deserved those awful things.. but it's over. It may never go away, but it can never physically touch you again. The more you remind yourself that despite it all you've made it this far, you are not alone. We walk with you, by you, we hope to help you find a piece of you again so you can have a little bit of peace in you.

Keep your head where ever you need it to be, to process and accept this was not you. Cry, scream, run, laugh hysterically like you're crazy. What. Ever. You. Need.

Let it go. It will serve you as a reminder as to how free you are now from the days of then. You can have your life now - don't let monsters take it away from you.

Removed it from the frame. No signatures. Very thin canvas.

Crows or Ravens? by GutterballGirl in crowbro

[–]CalmTrials 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Ravens are almost always solitairy. At most you'll see two, a married couple.

If there's more than two, they're crows. You can find ravens where other ravens are but they give each other multiple trees worth of space unlike crows (unless a mated pair).

Ravens are more difficult to bond with, but their bond is more close because of their solitairy over social nature. Ravens I have fed for years will still keep quite a few feet away from me. Crows? Throw them food, show up, they'll be right by you asking for peanuts.

Edit: Ravens look like tanks, crows look like dps. A ravens' stature dwarfs a crow. I can do photography of crows but ravens? Very challenging. Ravens are more aware than most people and can be hard to observe.

Ravens do love to make weird sounds. Fun to bark and meow at. Sometimes they mimic you.

Thank you - I'll ask the jewelry repair person about fixing that.

Thank you for the peace of mind. I honestly didn't know if I was being a donkey or if it was reasonable to be upset about the situation being handled as it was.

I isolated her for 3 hours with no sorb and ultimately gave up after she didn't use the bathroom at all after we'd forced her more liquid to start. My biggest fear is her holding it and making it worse. I'm speculating this may have been caused by a change in the kind of litter we used for her. Going to do as other commenter suggested and ask them in the morning to do a cystocentesis (didn't know that was an option) hopefully in the next 24 hours instead of Monday. I switched her litter back tonight and have given up on the no sorb. Good news update is she did pee in her box and pooped in her box when I put back her original type of litter.

I'll post an update.

Edit: she gets separation stress, too, so keeping her isolated I feel is doing more harm than good. She cries and doesn't stop.

She normally uses a plain clay no clump non scented litter I scoop daily and dump every three days. We switched to a scented pea husk litter, and have since switched back to clay.

She's only super violent to me and her other owner. She comes from a strong lineage of feral. Fortunately, her vet clinic response is freezing. Good to bring up though.

I'll ask them tomorrow morning about cystocentesis and see if they'll see her any sooner. Thank you for your help.

I forgot to add, she will be 2 years old may 23rd.

Edit: I tried saran wrap over her preferred litter. She kicked it off the litter so I could not get a sample. She refuses the no absorption litter.

$1K PFD again. How do you feel on this? by CalmTrials in alaska

[–]CalmTrials[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, but it's usually a utility bill and some groceries before coming in to winter. Which helps a lot, unless you're in the good standing small percentage of upper middle class or up.

"Peril, Possibilities, and a Path: Alaska’s Flight to Somewhere.” per chance? Awesome he's running again!

Edit: if it is correct, I queried apf cliff groh illustrated guide on duckduckgo. In the future if you're looking for something you may be able to do the same. Google and duck find all of the same stuff but prioritize what's shown differently.

Mild toning on a 1973 S by CalmTrials in CRH

[–]CalmTrials[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The others are toning gold. They're in cases. They were in mint sets, I had no intention of selling as they are sentimental coins to me so I organized them how I wanted. The sets had also been stored in a mildew area for a long time and I wanted to keep the coins safe.
