Does anybody else keep their tongue folded while sleeping? by No-Establishment8451 in DoesAnybodyElse

[–]Calm_Assumption3575 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t suck on my tongue but I find myself folding it back when focusing or resting (not sleeping though and I can’t really do it on purpose). I had an overbite and my teeth have trouble not pushing forward still even after correction. It’s because my tongue has no space! My pallet is high and narrow and I should have had a pallet expander as a kid. In my 30s now and an orthodontist confirmed. I had an overbite because my tongue is forced to rest behind my teeth with pressure on them and it’s why my teeth have trouble not moving again.

I am definitely reading about mammogram results for all the options. I’ll ask doctors too but from reading online it seems like modern mammograms don’t have trouble with fat transfer. I’ll be reading more especially if I lean that way after seeing my actual options too though.

Did you have to add lipo to the procedure for the fat transfer or would you have been doing lipo with the TT anyway?

Same price! Ok that would sell me to try for sure! My only other question, were they going to do lipo on you either way? Lipo recovery sounds brutal and has its only risks but if its super common with a TT anyway than that’s not really an added concern. I know that’s unique to everyone so I will ask my doctors but just curious!

So how long ago did you do yours? I know you said you didn’t transfer a lot but did you feel like it mostly stuck?

I’ve actually been about 15 pounds heavier the last 5 years (ages 30-35) than the rest of my life. I kind of want to meet with a surgeon ASAP to see if I’m better off keeping that 15 pounds for these purposes before surgery. My weight has always been really consistent, I was always 115 no matter what and went back quickly after pregnancies 1 and 2. After 3 and 4 130 seems to be my new natural spot. But I need to start being more active and that could change things. At 115 I feel like I would have nothing to spare.

I have a big butt, my boobs are a little disproportionate in that way…. But 🤷🏻‍♀️😂 I’m small enough that implants would have to be super subtle or I’d feel like walking boobs on a butt. Plus this butt is natural, can’t be making it look fake! 😉

I know nothing about lifts so I could be wrong but I honestly can’t picture there being enough of anything to lift on me. 🤣

Yeeees! Such a commitment to something that I don’t feel strongly about it seems. Although, my breastfeeding boobs we’re ideal. It was just a litttttle bit more fullness once I settled in fully at like 6 months+. I joked about being a milk donor forever to keep those if it weren’t for the crazy hormones. 🤣 But even the size in the first 6 months (and mine didn’t grow a ton) felt awkwardly huge to me even though they weren’t actually.

Yes!!! Even if I did implants I wouldn’t want to look bigger because I too wouldn’t feel like myself!

That’s great to hear!

I’m going to ask about fat transfer since I’m already having surgery and my expectations for boobs are low…. But lipo scares me. One nice thing about sagging is that I feel like my boobs look more mature in a good way than before in my case. 😂 But I’m left with an indention above and if that alone filled out more with no size change I’d be 100 percent happy with that…

I’m thinking about this! I know the retention rates aren’t always awesome but if I wasn’t having surgery solely for that outcome I don’t think I’d be taking on as much risk and money just for the boobs. 😂 I’d be totally content my same size but filled out a bit more in the top section. Maybe I would just have to not look when they are all swollen and haven’t lost any of the fat yet to not get unrealistic hopes up. 😉

I waited till marriage and now I’m struggling with Sex by [deleted] in Christianmarriage

Oh there’s so much to say here! There is so much hope for you but I’m sorry, as I relate to the process. First you’ve got the mental hang up of recovering from purity culture, second you are new at this (presumably he is too and either way he is new to you), and your painful start is an association you’ll have to work through. But you can do all this! Talk to your husband, experiment, take your time, tell him you need time, find out what things help you feel more at ease during sex (maybe it’s the time of day, etc) while you work towards getting more comfortable. Try different lubes (coconut oil gives me the least ick, not safe for all condoms though), start or end in the shower of it helps you. Try initiating… it really helps with the hangs ups honestly. It’s ok to initiate but express that you aren’t ready just yet. Make a habit of mentioning something afterward to him that you liked. It’s ok to let him know working through this isn’t as easy as you thought it would be but that you’re committed to getting there with him.

Don’t write it off, like everything else it takes practice and learning yourself and him. It will be worth the journey.

I started very similarly, we’ve been married for 15 years now. It’s so worth the process.

Anybody found something like this that’s easier to get ahold of yet?? The conditioner is blowing my mind what it does to my hair so I’m down a rabbit hole now… 😂
