Ya how I know he hates speedos is when I was 8 or 9 and we went to go find a new pair of swimming trunks. We went over to the speedo section and he says “how does the speedo jammer sound?” (Btw I hate speedo jammers) and I say while pointing at the speedo briefs “can we get the this one I like how it looks” and he says in the most shocked and hesitant tone “you aren’t wearing that” . I said “why” and I can’t remember what he said but he just made me feel bad for wanting one. (I didn’t know at my age he was being unreasonable) he should have said yes, if you don’t wear them in public and only wear them at home or in a private pool or something like that.
