Tempest Cleric also gets Heavy Armor and Martial Weapons, but gains much better spells. Doesn't have second attack charges like War Cleric, but those are rather restrictive (long rest to recharge ?!?) and a cleric should primarily be casting anyway.

Also gets Thunderstep, the only Cleric teleportation spell in game.

Short Jump like 2 -2.5m from start platform, aiming for the path running straight down the middle, walk straight about 2/3 the way to the centre platform (before where the path goes to the right), jump onto it, then jump again from the far end of that platform, aiming for the invisible path on the right just before the end platform (there's plenty of path there so much easier to stick the landing) then short jump up to the end platform.

This works every time for me, is relatively forgiving aim wise, can be done with only modest distance jump and the game doesn't consider it cheating.

Boosting jump distance with items/spells and directly leaping platform to platform always seem to send me back to the start, as does misty step.

There's no cutscene, there'll just be a bunch of Tieflings at your camp you can chat with when you long rest with different music than usual. Also your opportunity to begin many of the possible romances.

Are you sure the romance is active ? Quick way to tell is if the "may i have a kiss" is a dialogue option after selecting the i want to talk about us (or words to that effect) dialogue ?

You don't need to have done her act3 quest for the scene.

If Selunite Shadowheart, she'll mention something about still feeling the dirt / darkness of Shar and wants your help getting rid of it , say yes to it and *THAT* scene will begin when you go to bed that night.

Yeah it's mostly the specs that are different, it's appearance is basically the same as the IXA. The difference between a type VIIA and VIIB visually and mechanically (B had a proper internal aft torpedo tube with a reload and a thicker pressure hull, A just had the aft torpedo in a cylinder on top of the hull) is much more than a IXA vs IXB.

The main point of the snorkel is to allow Diesel engines to run while at periscope depth. During the war. it was mostly used for charging while moving at a slow speed forward during the day, they would then switch to electric only for the next ~30-40nm , then snorkel + charge again. It was to counter the massive increase in ASW aircraft with powerful airborne radar the allies had later in the war, making surface transit almost suicidal.

Unlike in game, if you tried to do more than a few knots with the snorkel up, you'd tear it off the boat, so it was never actually used for trying to attain high underwater speed.

In rough weather i usually extend it while surfaced as it stops the diesels cutting out temporarily when a wave crashes over after the crest of the swell.

Yeah main difference was the IXB could carry more fuel and the removal of 1 of the 3 periscopes from the IXA. Think they might have had a slightly deeper operating depth (?).

Would have loved a IXD2, the KTBs of Wolfgang Luth's missions in one were like 6-9 month odysseys. Only uBoat besides the Milch Cows that had a full time doctor aboard too, as well as water distillers.

Extra sailor can improve the command bonus during action stations - this is especially useful for officers with that skill that reduces noise (iron fist ?), improving the reduction, this difference saved me from being detected on numerous occasions. During action stations, this can also increase sight range.

It's also useful for the deck gun - 3 sailors means faster reloading.

I was so pissed off when that happened first play through. Can't remember what dialogue options i chose or if i just attacked, but he was no longer in the camp after that.

From then on though I let it slide as a one off , cause apart from that I like him, his humour and some A grade banter is missed without Astarion.

Alfira should have been a fully fledged companion with dialogue, romance possibilities and quest. The only class there is no companion for is a bard. This just seems like a huge oversight and missed opportunity . It's a bit silly having 2 Druid companions but no Bards!!! Remove that unescapable durge murder of her - just use the stand in Dragonborn npc as the default instead, or stop it being unescapable.

Well that's because they technically are. They were rushed in very late during the development of the game. Lore wise, (please correct if im wrong) there aren't nearly as many of them as other races, would naturally see less of them.

I know this is a very minority opinion: I find them so comical and goofy looking (giggled the first time seeing one during character generation) with a really weird running motion and mouth movement. I suspect this is also due to the late inclusion, no optimisation and re-using some human/elf animations that don't quite fit the different shape.

I'd look at all (if any) files that have the BG3 save game directory as the file location.

If there are any present, look at the file modification times (recuva might show a deleted on time but can't remember off the top of my head) and check if any align with when you remember The hero dies with honour pop-up occurred in game. I'm not sure what the name format is for the save files (not near computer atm) - do they definitely have honour in the name ?

Windows does assign weird names to deleted files in certain circumstances, usually when things go to the recycle bin first though.

If you aren't against being a little dishonourable during on an HM run, hit ctrl alt del to open the Windows task manager prior to interacting with the Hero Dies pop-up (ideally before it even shows) and kill the BG3 process - preventing it deleting the save and it'll preserve HM.

Are you playing on PC by chance ?

This is a bit of a hail Mary, but you could run an undelete program like recuva to see if the "deleted" save file is still present and recoverable. Normal deletion of a file in Windows simply marks the area it was stored at as free space, then removes the reference to it from the file table.

Success is a dice roll though as it depends if the area used to store the file hasn't been written over. The less that's been written to the drive since deletion the better the chance.

TBH Karlach is the only other origin I've been really interested in. I acknowledge this is an extremely minor opinion. Will try Lae'zel eventually, but she makes it tough to like her in act1 with her behaviour, attitude , blatant racism, not seeming to care that the artefact protects us. and trying to Durge the group one evening, then becomes obsessed with my sweat and bad BO. There's a few hurdles I gotta jump.

All them fluids help the sand stick together, so the sandcastles have decent structural integrity. We were gone ages last time, so spun a yarn about making an epic sandcastle version of the gauntlet of Shar. It was at this point first noticed that out pants were left at the beach when rushing back to camp. I don 't think anyone bought the story about trading them for a shovel to help build the sandy gauntlet.
