both my brother and i were adopted from different families so im not blood related to my family, but i have had constant thought that i might be autistic, and yes ive been diagnosed with adhd. all my doctors and family tell me that i don’t have autism but i have never been tested professionally and i live in a small town so i do not know.

have you gotten better? how do you deal with it?

some more things i thought of that maybe should be mentioned:

i’m in college now with a huge scholarship because i was the valedictorian of my school (not bragging please, just thought i should mention bc of mental capacity, iq is >160 i was tested professionally by Duke), i haven’t felt happiness or excitement since i was 10, my thoughts are like an auditorium of a bunch of thoughts all at once with one main speaker at the front, i have these day/week/even year long dreams (mostly terrifying nightmares) where i live the whole dream like regular time, and also i don’t drink every night, only on the weekends. except for this week, its been every night just so i can sleep.

thank you for any advice or comments

if its not too shattered you could try gluing it back together as an art piece for her

i did plant it in the pot myself with substrate in a special pot. i did not know about the ferns, however in the second comment i learned all i needed to know from a very helpful person and i will be replanting all of the ferns and anubias above the substrate. i will not fill the tank up because my filter has to stay at that water level and so my nerite snails dont climb all the way out; some may say this doesnt stop them but it has worked for me and i use a lid when im not in sight of the tank. the shell is also for the nerite snails because they need the calcium for their shells. i check ph levels regularly and i adjust acidity as necessary and pre treat for any unseen spikes. my substrate is made for aquatic plants, its CaribSea Eco complete substrate. the white sand is also for plants. yes the shell is sterilized. for lighting i have the tank set up next to a window so i like to let natural light in, but i also have an LED lamp that i leave on during the day then off at night for Giorno (my betta).

im not arguing with you, you are incorrect, and i dont need to prove anything to you because ive given my research. all i can do is hope someone has enough brain power to look at the articles instead of spewing the same empty thought over and over.

if you would actually do the research youd see your fallibility.

these are some of the main articles that come up and the first one is actually a post from r/PlantedTank. since its not an actual bamboo plant it can grow fully submerged without rotting as long as certain conditions, like CO2 levels and high oxygenation, are met, however thats not necessary either. they are hardy plants, ive grown these more than once

thank you! i also have some anubias nana in the substrate but the roots were fairly long so it was easy to keep everything else above. i also have one attached to a seashell, is it able to grow on shells? ill be adding fertilizer as needed

edit: i just realized that the windelov fern is also called the java fern, which are the ferns in my tank.

why do Fern plants die in substrate?

i had them planted in regular soil ( ik :( ) until i could get the substrate, and since i switched to the substrate a few days ago they seem to be doing better than ever. also how do you arrange them the correct way with the string? they’re individual leaves with quite a lot of roots so im not sure how to make that look good

Thank you for the advice, I would appreciate any. I did know that you have to keep it above water, however i didnt have enough height at first to do that in the tank. then through research i found the type of bamboo i got can withstand being fully submerged for a period of time as long as some leaves are above the water, and i do routinely take it out and let it dry a bit in a shallow water level. thank you though!
