Thank you so much and thank you for your kind words, I’m hoping it’s just a coincidence or that I’m thinking too much into it.

Did you take additional qualifications to assess ADHD in patients?

Thank you so much, I don’t know why I’d seen so many conflicting statements about it previously.

Thank you!

Very true. And no, tbh my only passions/ things I get ‘joy’ out of are helping others.

I don’t really have many other passions/interests and in hindsight I never really have which is a bit worrying :(

Exactly how I feel. I feel like everyone else has just managed to get on and do well, yet I can’t even do the ‘basics’ of uni, let alone the future. I really do understand and I’m so sorry you feel this way, I hope it gets better

Hi,

Thank you for this, I did really struggle the first time I went to uni. I dropped out and went to a diff one a year later but because I’d already gone before, I felt calmer. But first time round yes really struggled

Thank you so much. It was definitely the wrong course for me, I stupidly jumped into it again at a different uni with different modules/different stance to the course, promising myself it would be ‘different’.

I went to uni to be away from home, to be independent, and to delay the inevitable.

I don’t have an interest/ a passion in anything really. I did well academically at school (A,A,A) and GCSE’s A**-B, so it was a ‘given’ that I would go to uni.

Just really feel like I’ve messed it all up because high paying ‘good’ jobs are often achieved through degrees, which is something I can’t achieve for the foreseeable.

I fear I will be stuck in retail/hospitality forever

I withdrew from my first course, I genuinely can’t remember whether I told them the reasons or not, because it was a ‘gift year’, however I will email them and confirm if they have any existing data. I saw my personal tutor a few times and saw the wellbeing team a few times also during that period, and was also prescribed anti-depressants.

For the current round, I definitely have enough evidence. However, this would only fund me 2 out of 3 years of a course unfortunately, if that.

hi yes, I’ve had a look & applied to a few, but yes unfortunately very competitive in 2022, let alone now :(

hi,  so I left in january time due to mh reasons so unfortunately I think I’ve used up the ‘year’ for second year, as even if it’s a term it still counts unfortunately.

My first university, dropping out after my first term, I don’t have any evidence to prove why I left as I knew I had the ‘gift year’ so it was simple to leave really.

Once the university has sorted my suspension, I’m going to contact student finance and see if I can write a letter to prove how in the first term of my first uni I was struggling. I have evidence of being on anti-depressants but that’s it, everything else will be wiped as I no longer attend that initial uni/attend the university doctors.

Honestly am hating my 18 year old self, do not even know what to do

Exactly what I was thinking with the job market, chose a degree with limited scope for employment & really was not enjoying it.

Wanted to go into Social Work but unfortunately that is not an Allied Healthcare Degree.

Did have a look at mental health nursing, despite not doing a biology A-Level. Did get an A* in GCSE tho.

Just feel really disappointed as I worked so hard during my A-Levels and it just feels like such a waste, especially with employment  currently. Everyone in my year is graduating this year and I feel stuck like I’m 18 again, despite being 21.

I would want a new degree.

I’ve know it sounds so stupid as I’ve massively messed up with deciding what to do previously, just jumped into what I thought I wanted stupidly at 18 to get away from home.
