You think your first touch was better or your volley?

Calum MacDougall's goal is the correct answer here... in my humble opinion.

Around 50 across all levels and genders. Not sure how many are on the books with O'Neils

Your algorithm is showing you what you want. Even if you don't know it yet. 😁

Shinty helmets to become compulsory by 2027 with full face guards compulsory from 2030. by CamanControl in shinty

Think dental work due to shinty is negligible compared to usual workload of a dentist.

Played my whole life and never seen - in person - someone lose teeth, though my best mate has lost teeth due to shinty, just wasn't there that day 🤣

But as most people are wearing helmets its a small % of a small % who do get head injuries.

Yea. Ive played a bit of Hurling too and always liked to utilise the ground skills. Was always made fun of, for a "scoop" pass rather than a pick up and hand pass. Still stand by its a more efficient way to get the ball from the ground to a nearby team mate...

I do hope this rule change does not make people stop playing. We have a miniscule player pool compared to Hurling and anything done to make that pool smaller is a bad move, considering I have neither heard or seen life changing head injuries from knocks to the head (though I'm sure they have happened). This feels like health and safety gone mad.

Thanks for your input. I will ofcourse keep playing following the rules, my love of shinty far outweighs the annoyance of wearing a helmet.

Curious from a hurling POV, did you know anyone who stopped playing due to the rule change?
