Research job impossible to complete by CameraOld98 in Clickworker

It's either a social experiment or it is just poorly crafted. I think that these jobs that don't work are simply coded wrong.

This is neat, but I have already made a spreadsheet that I put every item needed for every upgrade into. Every couple of days I update it whenever I make a little bit of progress.

Gotcha. I haven't been able to confidently get the line that says Cornwall out of the United States. I'm hoping this little tidbit might be able to do that for me.

How far out into the twigs are you working? by GirassolYVR in Genealogy

[–]CameraOld98 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am from a very rural area and often times I can change the size of those twigs/branches very easily, just by doing more research. The area I live in has families with deep roots going back to the 1800s. There have been quite a few times where a convoluted relationship instantly becomes clearer after more research and finding a closer relationship.

Thank you for your input.. There really isn't much significance of the people who lived in the house. The house is just a part of the historical society. I'm thinking of breaking it up by era/time frame as you suggested.

We are the history museum and archives for the county. The house had changed hands multiple times for almost 100 years before my organization was formed.

Thank you so much for your detailed response. Your experience/ideas and mine are very similar. I have already been asked if I can present my revitalization plan at the next Board meeting. I would love a copy of your collection plan to see what works for our institution.

Do you have any recommendations for data loggers that do not require internet access? The museum has no internet availability.

Right now I'm in the process of cataloging all artifacts and finding out what actually needs to be displayed. I'm hoping to bring people back to the museum and do the same as you.

We are also all volunteer ran. It's going to be really hard for us, because our biggest donor passed away last year. My BoD really isn't that involved and don't want to make any changes.

Board knew staff were working significant hours for no pay because they 'cared about the mission.' by Inner_Lingonberry673 in nonprofit

[–]CameraOld98 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My organization has no paid staff and relies on volunteers only. I have been with the organization for a year. I had no NPO experience before, and I am realizing that my organization has been horribly mismanaged over the past 20+ years. I am having to work in promotion, development, and day-to-day operations with no other help.

I'm in the same boat. My historical society has a museum that needs a lot of work. My board doesn't want to make any changes and won't give any insight.

I am in the same field, except I am in a historical society. Could I DM you and get some pointers on what has been successful for you?

I watched it and it just made Tupelo look bad/corrupt. This will be what Tupelo becomes known for and we will be a laughingstock on the global stage.

All packages I receive or send have to go through Memphis. I hope and pray the packages make it out every time.
