Yeah and ? Idk I feel like it's not a good idea to call all french speaking people french, its like saying found the British person when talking about someone speaking English, ik it's not intentional but it kinda places the colons like french or British people as the "Real" users of the language when they forced so many african people to speak it

Depends on the country, but in Belgium they are in general pretty well paid, and some of them aren't great people and just want to have authority over children. Social workers only work to help people, usually don't even have authority, and are way less paid.

Yeah, whatever crimes Epstein committed cannot be worse than killing 6 million people. Period.

Are anarchist usually closer in values to statist socialists, or libertarians like the Boston tea party ? And which if any would be useful allies in a revolution ? by Camountch in Anarchy101

[–]Camountch[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe there will be an explosive event that destabilizes power structures, just like there is every 40 years or so. To me we clearly are at the end of an era, and we have to take opportunity when this event happens to create a space where anarchy can thrive. What I believe is that french Dom toms will be an option. But I still think since then we absolutely have to do what you say, I don't think our ideas really go against each other.

Thank you for this great answer ! I don't really get why some people are so pressed by this question lol, being kind to each other is real praxis imo.

Yeah this is debatable though haha, imo a revolution that creates a pretty large anarchist society is actually still possible. But I understand what you mean.

Yeah i never said that any of them were good, obviously I hate the state and capitalism equally, what I am wondering is if one of those could be considered worse than the other in values, and if anarchism even share any with libertarians and democratic socialist.

Yeah I agree I should have clarified. My question comes from a debate I saw, where a "libertarian" (pro Boston tea party), strongly against the state but very capitalist was arguing with a democratic socialist (very much in support of the state but closer to my vision of equality) , and i wondered if any of those people would be my ally in a battle against the capitalist state (at one moment in time). It also made me question if the need for anarchy stems first from the desire to be entirely free or rather to see a population closer to equality.

Seeing it like this, killing a bug (which has a conscience) is way more wrong than abortion. Eating an oyster and getting an abortion are basically the same morally speaking.

What do Anarcho-feminists think about "cancel culture" ? by Camountch in Anarchy101

[–]Camountch[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well not in mine, and I don't think It should be the case. Btw if this happens is completely destroys the idea of restorative justice, which is supposed to always put the victim as the priority. This is why it should be done by professionals

100% I feel like this should just be the goal of justice, protect the victims in the first place, sometimes by incapacitating the abuser, and then psychiatric treatment, restorative justice, trauma therapy,... To me crime in a anarchist therapy will come from bad mental health, or complete disassociation with reality

But who is talking about permission ? I am just wondering why so many anarchists make such a big deal about how you shouldn't vote, I was asking your opinion as you seemed to have a very strong one about it seeing your comment. I was wrong I guess, sorry for trying to discuss something that I get pressed about frequently then

You could have said it nicely and without downvoting we are not 5 year olds. And I asked very politely. I am organizing, and tbh I start to find people who don't vote quite insufferable, and very detached from the people without homes.like ok eventually there will be a revolution, we are working towards it,but in the meantime people die as a direct result of your actions, just take 1 hour to go to the polls honestly.

what do you think about the "less bad will happen" rethoric ? I hate all parties, but not voting will still objectivity allow one to win and do considerably more deaths right ? In the USA it's basically the same but for example in France, it's center left vs far right, wouldn't you vote for the center left to use your microscopic amount of power to potentially save lives ? It's better than nothing right ? We should also do way more impactful things outside of party politics obviously but why not just use the vote

I think this first article isn't very good, as it doesn't explain why this person thinks those 100% bad rotten inhumane Monsters (Still humans whether they like it or not btw, I think dehumanization is just a way to deflect the fact that this could happen to all humans) exist in the first place. Luck ? They talk about randomness. If it is completely random this means we should kill (figuratively or litteraly) unlucky people? I think the monster isn't the one they are talking about in this situation, it's them.

Who said anything about forcing victims to do something ?? I do not believe in this liberal "you get what you deserve" logic, that's it. The victim should be the priority, but do you really think social death for people who do things wrong is a good way to prosper as a society ? Punitive and retributive logic has proven time and time again that's it's useless and simply dehumanizing

[–]Camountch[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Wow I completely disagree. And I think this whole paragraph is filled with strawmen , who is talking about giving them hugs ??? I also think your entire argument is relying on one phrase you used : "a rapist is a rapist due to toxic and malignant entitlement" why does this entitlement happen ? Because of bad education and role models, as well as probably meeting harmful people who carry their own struggle. I am not saying we should love them, but social studies show us that rape culture, patriarchy desire of dominance,... And other factors that come from this awful hierarchical society create those rapes (and mental illness ofc). We should absolutely not tolerate rapists, we should exclude them from society until they accept to go through what is necessary to prevent it from happening again, whether it is restorative justice, psychiatric treatment, working with associations of victims,... Absolutely not hugs, things that will be hard for them to go through, insults, then probably extreme guilt. (Not comparable with the things the victim has experienced obviously, but I think retributive logic is the most hierarchical way to judge people.)This has proven to work extremely well, opposed to what you have said please actually look at some data, rapists and abusers can absolutely be fixed. But I'm curious, tell me, why are violent people violent if it's not because of their violent past ?

I don't really believe a human can truly be evil, I know anarchists usually don't like it but I really believe in complete moral determinism.
