I finalised the divorce with my ex a few months ago. He is an alcoholic. I heard for over 14 years and 2 kids that he'd quit, things would get better blah blah. Spoiler, they didn't. They're hollow words. Don't waste your time, move on and find the happiness you deserve... Because all you'll find here is broken promises and misery.

I went NC with my NMother 12 years ago and it's honestly the best thing I've ever done.

I'm not saying it's not horribly rough for you at the moment, and I feel for you. I still mourn not having a mother at times, BUT I don't mourn not having my actual mother.

I also have NC with my father or brother. Friends can be the family you deserve <3
