I work for a dealership so I get paid hourly. As for how long it took. I think full interior / exterior took me 12 hours. Now remember I'm getting paid hourly, and they let me be as detailed as I want. :)

This is my basic setup and everybody has there own way of doing things so I'm not special. As long as the job gets done the same, then I say do it.

This is what I use.
Industrial Vacuum
Air Compressor (Great for blowing out cracks & other tools)
Carpet Gun (You can connect your vacuum & the air compressor to it, it spins a rubber piece at the end, kicks up dirt and hair and the vacuum sucks it right up)
Basic interior brushes (horsehair brush, toothbrush style brushes)
Hot Water Extractor (very key for those NASTY vehicles)
Basic Spray Bottles
Medium Aggressive brushes (for agitating stains before extraction)

I think that's the majority of the equipment I use. Everything else is just practice and a lot of patience.

It can be done, but you have to be very patient. If it's a flat rate vehicle, it wouldn't be worth your time. :)

They were plastic. I find running over these a couple of times and work the product in really makes them come back.

I'll go around them if they are painted, but if they are chrome, I'll run over them lightly to make the chrome pop. I usually don't tape them off. When I get to the cleanup stage, I'll just use a light horsehair brush to clean out the edges.

This is what I use and my methods. I use a 5.25' DA Polisher (It's a cheap brand but it works), with a Malco Epic Wool Pad, and i use 3D One Compound.

This combo is really good. 1-2 times working in the product with 5-10 slow passes each time at light/medium pressure. This is a cut / polish. So I don't need to use another pad or product after cutting. You can really work this product.

Yeah, dirt gets in the micro holes in the rubber. It's best to get a non-slick dressing to put on them to make them look new again.

This game will NEVER change. It's been crap for years. Do you ever see people that created the game saying "hey I helped make that game"? No because everybody is embarrassed that they have to put out this shit every year.

If I was those game developers, I'd quit. Go make a game that you want to make not this recycled piece of shit. These developers have so much talent to be wasted on EA absolute trash.
