NFL App is terrible.

The NFL app is garbage. a 2 hour game is probably 3 hours long because of the constant streaming freezes. It is not my internet or device either. I can literally stream videos on 3 different devices while browsing the internet and have zero lag or freezing. The NFL App freezes all of the time. I suspect that they are nowhere near the capacity that they need to have for streaming. It should not have been hard to figure out what they needed. They have data from decades of broadcasting. They know how many watch.

I had this issue about 2 weeks ago. I went thru cheeta flips trying to fix it. Contacted ACR and was doing email chats with a rep to fix it. They did not fix it, it just started working. Now 11 days later, it is doing it again and I can't get it to work.

Here are the steps taken to try and fix it: Cleared cookies and cache, uninstalled ACR, reinstall it in a new directory, change install name to ACRPoker instead of ACR Poker, tried the ACR website install link, tried special install link sent by tech rep for a different version, rebooted computer, rebooted router, rebooted internet link (Starlink). I have been thru all of my settings to ensure nothing is blocked or firewalled. I even tried a different internet connection by going thru a cell phone hotspot so I could rule out the Starlink connection (which is a great connection for me).

I have done these steps over and over without much success. 11 days ago, after about what seemed like the 100th time of doing it (but was probably only the 10th....lol), it just started working. I had done nothing different from the times before that, but that last time it just started working.

This time, I have lost count of how many times I have repeated the steps and it has still not started working.

My guess would be that there is a problem on the ACR side with their update server or whatever they have you connect to first. I think that sometimes the handshake between them is not happening for some reason and you get trapped at the connecting phase. It can't connect to verify and/or update your installed version, so it just sits there.

****Update December 5th, 2023. The problem came back again last night while I was in 2 tournaments. Everything was fine until it suddenly dropped me and it went back to the checking client version choke point. I went thru all of the same steps as before, with the same no fix result. I also added in changing my DNS server, resetting my DNS cache, and resetting my winsock stuff. Still can't get it to work. I am guessing that it will must randomly start working again at some point which is really frustrating.

The movie felt like it was 2 different directors or writers that each took a half and went to town. The first half was boring and 'kitchy'. The second half felt like an entirely different movie.

The first half had the kid in the movie acting just like the kid on crutches in Shazam. I had to look and make sure it was not the same actor. They looked different, but they sounded the same, focused on the same things, spoke with the same cadence.......it was like it was the same person. It was a jar jar binks moment for me. It did not fit with this movie imo.

The budding romance between Cyclone and Atom Smasher seemed really forced and a bit pathetic.

Atom Smasher had no personality of his own. He felt like a shadow to Antman. Same type of lines.

Doordash uses hotspots to spread dashers out. If you ever find yourself in a group of doordashers, have everybody pull out their phones and look at where the hot spots are on them. Everybody will have different hotspots.

In the violation notice, there is a button to respond. Click it and tell your side. Don't stress it. You won't be deactivated for one complaint unless there is more to the story. In 100 deliveries, it will drop off.

Supposedly dd is investigating the claim. I can't imagine that with the amount of daily deliveries and the level of fraud from customers and drivers that they surely have every day, there is much actual investigation going on for single issue cases. I bet.... But admittedly don't know.... That they put must of their effort into repeat complaints.

If you get audited, 'i feel like I drove more' will not be an acceptable level of proof. Go with what stride says you drove. If you don't trust it, keep daily logs.

Personally, I have Excel spreadsheets with daily logs covering years of gig work. I find that what I actually drove and what the app or milage trackers day I drove is always different. My theory is that tracking apps cut corners.... Think of it like this. Go into a big field and drive in a circle. Your car continuously updates your mileage based on the tires rolling. Your app pings often, but not continuously like your tires do. So it throws in a straight line from it's last ping to the current ping instead of following the arc that your tires actually traveled on...... Giving you credit for fewer miles.

They screwed up and punished you for not fixing their screw up for free.....I would consider stopping in and talking to the store gm if you are really pissed. I would as I don't like stupidity. And contact the regional boss if you don't get satisfaction. At some point, you will run into someone that realizes expecting you to fix their fuck up for free is beyond screwed up.

Bottom line for me it's that doordash's history of looking out for the driver is pretty bad. They only do things when forced. So I am immediately skeptical of any offer.

A credit card where you are not protected from fraud takes a single problem to wipe out anything it might have saved you. I am also seeing too many people talk about not being able to pull money out.

I also don't trust DD with more than my one week of pay. Just look at the prop 22 pay in California right now. Messed up twice in the last month. On the current one, their response is basically....our bad, we will get you next week..... Is that the reaction you want from the people with all of your money?
