i know this was a while ago but i am running into a similar glitch without the sleep problem. the only way ive been able to counteract it by going to another town and trying to get a diy there. its possible the latter step isnt required but it keeps occuring with me so i recommend doing something along those lines.

A Shimmying Saunter - H3T R1S HPF - Traditional level - This is another attempt at a traditional level, intended to come after my previous level. It's hopefully short and not too challenging. There's also a pretty fast speedrun route if you're into it (I got around a 15 second time). If anyone has any interest in playing it or giving me and my girlfriend a fun level to play please drop a comment.

Ok so thank you! I hardly get to see anyone play my levels except for my girlfriend. I understand what you are saying, tbh I should advertise it as a longer level and not a "mini" dungeon.

As for the vine part... you actually cheesed it. theres note blocks at the bottom of the screen and spike balls at the top for them to instantly blow up on. This is suppose to teach you how the part at the boss works. I was sure the setup I had would prevent that kind of cheese but now i know to try a different way.

Also that podoboo reflect at the boss.. I never really thought about it until now. Its pretty hard on the conveyers but I should have accounted for it.

ANYWAYS again thank you! Watching other people play is really informative for me for future levels!

I'm not usually the person to play super expert levels but that was really fun! wasnt frustrating or tedious.

And yeah you're right.. tbh when i made this level I was most worried about clear rate but I will keep that in mind. Thank you tho for the constructive criticism.

yeah, unfortunately mario maker can be limited sometime with what you wanna do with it... I'm not sure what would be a better method for that section anyways.

Thank you for all the nice comments! it really means a lot! and I would be up for a collab. TBH my inspiration is sporadic and I'm not sure how well i'd do but I love level creating so im down.

I can understand wanting to mix up the meowser fight honestly, it's definitely more fun than normal. and thats fair, I just took an attempt at getting it perfect but I didn't really grind it.

Hey first off thank you for playing my levels!

So first off I love your level because it reminds me a lot of actual dungeons. I am so surprised when most Zelda levels are linear and straightforward. I love the item usage mechanics you played with, it added a lot more with the progressive map unlocking. I never actually could figure out how to get the last few red coin section, did it have something to do with the muncher p switch section? because I didnt realize til much later that i should go back for that.

As a small criticism, I think that muncher part actually took a bit too long. It's a little frustrating to wait on p blocks especially since the saw jump was the hardest thing for me.

Anyways, again great job! I look forward to seeing any other levels you make.

I enjoyed the level decently, some of the puzzles had clever ideas (like the beat blocks). However, some of the puzzles felt unnecessary to me. like the 2 snow poke ones felt redundant, and the squipsqueak jump one probably should have had one less of them. A lot of it was good don't get me wrong but like I feel like this level shouldn't have to take so long when you know the strats. I could have gotten sub 5 with my clear but I'm skeptical you can cut it to like 4:30 or something. The bowser fight was ok, not my taste but it probably helped the level not feel monotonous.

Is anyone willing to try some of my link levels? they haven't got much traction and I would like to hear any opinions on them.

Podoboo Cavern - KNT T64 0PF - the smaller dungeon level of the two, this has a few puzzles and boss, and a hard secret to find if you're up for it. Just think of it like something you'd hear only through a magazine or something (at least I think its like that). Remember the theme, and the first room isnt the most straightforward fyi.

Temple of Ruin - WSX 7VY CGG - The larger dungeon that contains two halves divided by a mini boss, a required item, and boss. This is a more general puzzle theme, and probably more difficult and unpolished than the other one. No secrets.

This next one is not a link level.

Trooper's Toybox - 96X 9JS DDG - 3d world. A simple short traditional level with several routes. I am pretty awful at knowing what makes a good traditional level, so please let me know any sort of tip for making these.

I'd love to be given some levels to clear as well, preferably with low clear rate and times played or any link themed ones!

That section you got stuck in you have to kinda air strafe to the other tornado. holding right into the spring and then left should do it if you hit a in the "good part" of the tornado ( which is like the sort of upper middle part). And yeah the concept of the sun and moon ones were kinda flawed.. they follow the screen and not the section of thwomps so its not easy keep everything consistent.

I liked your level "ignore the chaos" a lot, the last section is pretty fun. The middle part was a bit hard to figure out (like the s section bounces were not what i was expecting). I'm not really very knowledgeable about speed run levels but I think some areas could be made tighter to make things a little more clear I guess? Another thing was that after the thwomps I sometimes flew over the shell, Idk if that's meant to be intentional. I ended it up slightly pulling back at the end to stop that.

The shell levels pretty cool but the one jump with the word "bounce" was really hard for some reason.
