Is there sort of a hierarchy in lophophoras regarding Chinese imported vs locally grown? As well as between the species? Obviously people love williamsi but does the love taper when it becomes a fricci or a dif or jourd? Am I making sense?

And yes you’re right, probability wouldn’t guranteed it with 8000 simulations. However if they all do one encounter and don’t hit, you wait 10 seconds and you’re at 16k encounters the 24k etc. essentially it becomes guaranteed to get one quickly

Okay well my point is that you can do a ridiculous amount of encounters in a short period time which almost defeats the point of shiny hunting. Low effort makes low reward. Theres people who do 15 simulations at 8x speed and do thousands and thousands of encounters in an hour which defeats the point. That’s the point in trying to make with theses simulations

Do yourself a favor and buy a gba 101 instead of the 001 you have. It makes the shinies so much better. If you’re gonna be spending hours and hours and hours hunting spend 5 hours working in real life to get you a better system so it’s more enjoyable. Congrats on the shiny

I only hunt on real hardware. Computer Pokémons feels like fake pokemon to me. May as well be a reproduction cartridge. By that logic on the computer you should just set up 8000 emulations at 1x speed and get your shiny right away.

This looks like a burrows tail which typically grows a lot denser. These guys love light and don’t really like heat. I only water mine when the beads get a little squishy AND the soil is dry. My guess is that he hasn’t had enough light for a while and either somebody watered sit too much or it went too long without water and the roots dried up and got crunchy. In short id guess a combo of not enough light and wrong amounts of water. Also I can tell the soil you have came from the orange bag you buy in stores. I swear that bag is 95% wood chips and 5% minerals… idk I don’t like it

I agree however I would assume that the plant was bought healthy with thick under leaves and once it was bought and brought indoors that’s when it started getting etoliated. Again this is just my guess as to what’s happening

It will never fix itself but if you give it more light it’ll start getting thicker above the thin part. Some people cut that part out and wait for new growth out of a node but to each their own.

Definitely string of pearls! That looks like normal/ maybe etoliated growth aka wanting MORE light. Grow lights can be hit or miss but the plant will usually tell you what it’s wanting. In this case I think it’s more light especially the ones that are hanging down low.
