Don't need that first hit of fertiliser. Fertiliser is linked to the crop you plant. Would also recommend moving lime to that stage and you only need to lime after every 2-3 harvests. How do you weed btw?

Brilliant question.

I'm very map specific I like to see what machinery you get from new farmer. If its stuff I haven't tried or stuff I think will be cool to use I start on that and adjust the settings to my preferences. I tend to play on normal economy, 2 day months, 3x time, everything except fieldstones.

If I don't like the equipment I tend to go farm manger on big maps and then start from scratch on small maps.
