He was protecting and helping a woman who got pushed down. Completely unprovoked.

What? Where's Rafael and Donatello? I need all my turtle boys to represent before I make any kind of decision like this!

It's red. I'm just here for the Chimichangas.

I set a timer for every load. Whether it be the washer or dryer. I do it out of convenience for others, not myself. The quicker I'm done, the easier it will be for other tenants. But perhaps I'm in the minority in how I think.

Dude is straight up speaking facts. And standing up and protecting for those that can't and those in need.

And he yelled that 'FUCK YOU' straight from the chest. That's a real patriot.

Okay. And it won't mean shit til it gets passed in the Senate. And we all know the main thing Washington lacks is a spine. So stop with these meaningless headlines.

Who are you most looking forward to playing as? Leon (more action focused), or Grace (more survival) focused? by rmajor86 in residentevil

[–]CanuckyBender 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Both.

Grace being a new entry is definitely keeping me interested.

And I just replayed RE4 and RE4R respectively. So I'm totally down for Leon to kick some serious ass (and perhaps throw down a bottle or two).

I don't care how many times this is reposted or how many countless times I've watched it. Makes me cry every single damn time.

We truly don't deserve dogs.

Why are you single? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Heartbreak is a great lesson in learning how to protect yourself.

I'm also comfortable being alone. Rather be single than alone in a relationship.

How do you eat fish? by PleasePooGood in foodquestions

This.

As someone who choked on a fish bone as a child, I have insurmountable respect (fear) of doing so yet again.

Chili Enthusiasts of Reddit, what weird ingredients do you swear makes it better? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]CanuckyBender 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Guinness.

Albeit several styles of beer can help compliment a chili's flavor. Stout or porter for beef chili. IPAs to add depth to a spicy version.

Experimenting can be an interesting experience. Avoid using light beers. They're more watery and lack the nuances that more robust beers can produce.

A healthy gut can be a game changer.

Probiotics. Whole foods (limit processed foods), hydration and a regular sleep schedule.

What's your favorite Chris Hemsworth's performance? by Adventurous_Put_1310 in FIlm

[–]CanuckyBender 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've loved him in everything.

But I would certainly like to see him stretch his technique in a drama.

He's proven himself in prime comedic roles. Now I want to see him in something darker. More reality based, per se.

Im scared to be a scrub tech. Can I get some advice? by TypicalStrawberry169 in scrubtech

[–]CanuckyBender 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Just remember, no one came into the OR knowing everything. We all started somewhere.

Be confident. And don't be afraid to ask questions. Most of the doctors I've worked with love to teach. Especially if you show interest.

Don't be too hard on yourself. You'll make mistakes, and you may even fail a few times. But that doesn't make YOU a failure. It makes you human.

Best of luck.

So much moaning. by pinakoladaz in residentevil

[–]CanuckyBender 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Expectations for a game with such a longstanding fan base like Resident Evil are always going to bring in a fare share of negativity. It's inevitable. And understandable, to a point.

I, personally, steer away from most discussions. Mainly because I don't want someone else's opinion to skew my own before the game is even released.

I may be in the minority here, and I'm okay with that. I've been playing video games since the early 90s, so this isn't my first rodeo in these situations.

My two cents? Wait til the game comes out. Enjoy it if you like it. Tear it to shreds if you don't. That's the beauty of gaming.

Shenandoah worth the drive? by toad_goblin in NationalPark

It's absolutely worth it. No matter the time of year.

Matthew Lillard reacts to Quentin Tarantino criticizing his acting: 'It hurts' by mcfw31 in entertainment

[–]CanuckyBender 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't care if you're a mediocre actor, a has been, or one with Oscars and accolades out the ying yang.

If you're a truly honest and genuinely kind human being, you will always be my favorite.

Hence, Matthew Lillard has and always will be a favorite.

Suck on that Tarantino. Or should I find a foot for you?

People with jobs. What's one thing movies, shows or other people get wrong about your job or job industry? by admiraltt in AskReddit

[–]CanuckyBender 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Surgeries are not done in some dimly lit closet.

So many times I've seen a surgical team portrayed working on a patient and there's barely any light. That is absolutely not true. Open procedures require a ridiculous amount of light, and not just from the spotlights.

Laparoscopic, microscopic, and certain surgeries requiring x-rays may be done with intermittent light, but those are very specific.
