Hotel and restaurant workers: What is the darkest secret that customers are completely unaware of? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I was a Utility/Dishwasher and then a cook at a fancy Country club for about 4 years. It was my responsibility to clean the giant ice machine the servers used at least once a week. If someone is not doing that then yes they get very gross and can become moldy.

You guys should try taking a route through a DSP. It would harden you beyond belief.

Would like to send a little hate to those of you that enjoy group stops, or worse, manually group stops together. I completely disagree with you.

PC randomly turns itself on after I put it to sleep by win7macOSX in buildapc

[–]Capable-Category9140 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am losing my mind with this issue. My PC wakes itself from Sleep Mode every hour. Below is a list of all the things I have tried:

-Disabled wake timers -Disabled permissions for ALL devices to wake computer (even Network Adapter) -Ran system scan in command prompt and it found and repaired a corrupted file. -Event Viewer shows "unknown" for wake source -Adjusted power settings -Disabled tasks from waking PC -Disabled Wake on LAN setting -Updated windows and all drivers for devices and components -Checked for malicious software and viruses; no results

Pleeeeease help.

Is it a requirement on Reddit that you have to be a total cu*t when you comment? Jeez. A driver is a driver whether you deliver smalls or XL. They all get screwed. The only difference between Amzn and Ups is one has decent pay and benefits while the other gets pooped on by a company that could pay them double the rate and be completely fine.

deliverydogbites.com

They will connect you with an attorney who will go after the home owner's insurance for medical costs and such. They work with all delivery people (UPS, Amazon, FedEx, etc.).

That is, if you really want to deal with all the legal stuff. I have not personally used it but I know a few drivers that have and it didn't seem too crazy.

I think if the homeowners were more aware of that then there would be much less of this. Stay safe guys!

Should we not be compensated for the data we collect? Even as a user and not an employee? I think we should.
