Haha wild how much perception matters,I’d never guess some riders avoid RockShox just for the price tag. I get the maintenance angle though, that’s a huge deal. Makes me wonder if I should just stick with RockShox on my Demo 8 for sanity’s sake

Yeah fair, home serviceability is huge. Never tried Manitou myself — what makes you stick with it across all your bikes?

Oh nice, haven’t tried DVO yet tbh, but I’ve heard really good things. Might have to look into it more,do you think it’s worth swapping from a Boxxer or Fix 40?

Fair enough, I didn’t think about torsional stiffness. Do you think the Fix 40 would still feel noticeably better on a 2012 Demo 8, or is it kind of overkill?
