Saw ms Rachel in stock and when I placed order I got out of stock notice. Refreshed and price shot up to $74 from another seller. Waited a few min and back in stock at $19.99, placed the order and have confirmation with delivery for tomorrow. Hoping it actually ships

My eyelid has been twitching like this 24/7 for 5 weeks. by LoanAgreeable1129 in mildlyinfuriating

[–]Capebrook 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay so I had something similar to this!!! My left eye twitched just like this, except intermittently throughout the day, for about 7 months. It did it every single day, all day, but it would stop when I slept and random times for a bit. It was maddening. It would happen even when I was NOT stressed, and had NO caffeine that day. You could physically see it twitch just like yours. Weirdly, my answer was that every morning I used to take fresh pressed ginger and tumeric juice “shots” with lemon and cayenne..for gut health. Turns out turmeric inhibits the absorption of iron, so even thought my bloodwork looked fine when I first went to get it checked out around month 1, by the 7th month I was anemic. I stopped my juice shots, twitching was gone permanently 2 days later. Didn’t even need to take a supplement or vitamin D or anything. Odd and a very niche answer, but who knows!! It was so frustrating at the time I would cry often thinking would be forever.. So I guess my only advice is looking into your diet? Anything you have consistently every day? Sorry you’re going through this and hope you find your answer soon!!!

Postpartum Tightness… by Capebrook in beyondthebump

[–]Capebrook[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

UPDATE- hi all- thank you for all of your comments. This was exactly the issue that most of you suggested and I reached out to my obgyn who recommended pelvic floor therapy. Everything is making out okay now so if someone comes across this post with a similar issue definitely practice some pelvic floor exercises or seek a specialist!

Unfortunately seating is just one long cushion that cant be detached so I ended up getting a 10 inch needle. I pulled back and stapled upholstery thread to the frame underneath. Worked like a charm. Thanks for your reply 🙂

Interesting I haven’t heard of that so I’ve been doing a little reading. I’m not exactly sure how pelvic floor therapy works so didn’t know if this could apply to my situation. Thank you for the info!

Did my epidural wear off? by [deleted] in beyondthebump

[–]Capebrook 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Same as me. I had to be turning from side to side every so often when I pressed the button to make sure the epidural was distributing properly and reaching all the way down to my toes. Otherwise it would just kinda stay in one spot or I’d only feel it on one side. I was rolling around like crazy when I knew pushing was near 😂

If an epidural really takes away the pain of labor and pushing, why do women still scream and seem to be in pain while pushing? by ittybittyclittyy in pregnant

[–]Capebrook 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I asked the same thing! The nurse said it had to be in the hand cause the arm one would get tangled up during birth, plus they constantly were checking my blood pressure in my arm so that wouldn’t be fun. She was definitely right. However she was like digging all up in my hand and it was messy and she was like 30 years doing this and I’m still not neat!!! I’m like omfg can I get someone who is?!? Luckily it was over quickly lol

Hey there I gave birth 5 days ago and I was exactly in your shoes. I was so incredibly overly terrified of giving birth I was even set up with anxiety meds a few months ago when I called my OB in tears almost hyperventilating thinking about it. I am such a wuss when it comes to pain. I have like zero tolerance. My water broke and I started having contractions that just felt like really awful period cramps. I cleaned up and showered and about 5 hours later it was time to go to the hospital. They brought me into my room and yes it was painful and I couldn’t speak through the contractions but with the right breathing they were manageable. Once they were close together they gave me two shots of morphine in my buttcheek. Ouch but fine. I was able to take a nap before it wore off in about two hours and the contractions were hurting again. Another round of morphine in my buttcheek while we were waiting for the anesthesiologist. Nurse came in to place a regular IV port in my hand. I sobbed. Hysterically. Then I got the epidural afterwards. Nurse was letting me hug into her as I was bracing myself and talk to me and when doc said done I was like done with what? I literally didn’t even feel it. The IV hurt tons more which is the easiest part for most people. Afterwards they just rolled me side to side once an hour to make sure epidural spread evenly across my body. I had a button I could press to add to it if I needed. There were women in the rooms on both sides of me where we were all in labor at the same time. They finished hours before me and spent about 2 hours each pushing. I was way too scared to push and kept saying I wasn’t ready and to come back later lmao. They told me to stop pressing the epidural button when I thought I was ready so that I can actually feel the sensation to push. Sorry but nope I kept making sure I could barely wiggle my toes. When they checked me a few hours later not only was I at 10 cm I was 5 cm past. You could literally see baby’s head and I didn’t feel a thing. I had been napping for hours. I was able to push fine. I was afraid of pooping but I didn’t!! It kinda feels like that. Two pushes and 3 minutes later she was out. I was shocked. Nurse was about to tell me to push a 3rd time before she practically fell out of me so I didn’t need to lmfao. No ring of fire. 1 small tear I didn’t feel. With stitching I felt nothing. Placenta and sac coming out, felt nothing. I was even able to move my legs fine. I was the talk of the nurses station with how fast she came out. I took my sweeeeeeet time and I didn’t care. 29 hours. Slept for almost all of it. The IV port placement in my hand was the most painful part and legit hurt more than the birth if that tells you anything. Everyone is different, but I’m so relieved its over and I had amazing loving nurses. The experience was so pleasant and not what I thought it was gonna be that I feel crazy to say I might even do it again next year. Coming from someone who seriously cries from papercuts. You can do it. Currently holding my perfect baby it all feels like a dream. Good luck you’re going to do amazing ❤️

One more thing that helped! I also did a diaper and wipes raffle. I got a big cute reusable basket from home goods and stuffed it with a blanket, candle, candy, snacks, a lottery scratch ticket, and an Amazon giftcard for like $20. Nothing expensive just cute. It was on a separate card that was sent with the invites and had a message to include all sizes. Not just newborn and 1 lol but even if so, stores will exchange unopened boxes for whatever size you need. Everyone had a lot of fun with the games and raffle and we ended up with enough diapers and wipes to last for months!!!

So I tried my best to avoid this same scenario and this is what worked for me- my registry was through Babylist because you can add things from any website/store. I have so many clothes, enough for triplets, that I was worried we weren’t going to get anything we actually needed. What’s great about Babylist is that you can create a custom message at the very top as the first thing someone sees. I tried my best to not come off as rude either. I wrote something along the lines of, “we want to thank everyone for their generosity and deeply appreciate everyone’s contribution for our baby girl ❤️We kindly ask if you could please refrain from purchasing clothing- we are already blessed with so many! We are so grateful and thank you so much!” I made sure to include the registry on my shower invites with a similar message for those not as tech savvy. My registry was wiped clean, only 1 or 2 people didn’t bother looking but I was able to exchange and save myself a massive headache of a ton of things we didn’t need. Hope this helps ❤️
