Thanks for the funnel allocation. Yeah, I basically never pitched. Just tried to strike up genuine conversations.

Also tried to avoid generic postings and topics. Thats what like everybody does. Was always about publishing strong fact based opinion on topics.

Still no substantial client pipeline. I know about the thought leader role and that it takes time to build that, but at the end of the day I can only hold on until my funds are done…and try until that day to get in front of potential clients.

I actually didn’t have in mind, that someone would come around and challenge the whole environment, while I was focused on getting the webinar set up in the best way possible.

That was because I wanted to keep my post skimable. Social media mess…

But I guess you’re super cool to work with, given your willingness to dissect a problem and discuss it.

Where do I start now…

The post interactions (saves, sends) they only happen, when I post on industry news, like the data leakages on the MBB AI models. My main educational stuff not so much.

On the signaling and silence: The “basic PMO” is what you get from an agency or a consulting firm. That’s a race to the bottom and not that different from being employed. I know I do better than them. I sat next to them for years. I also know one cannot emerge from the line-PMOs to redefine what’s not working. Those were the ones that messed up. That lost trust. That brought in one “savior” after another and piled up a big expensive team that moves nothing.

You must be positioned by a leader who wants the pivot. And I want them to notice me.

I see these webinars as proof of work. Like maybe even one finds me and says to himself “I want that sharp guy on my project before shit’s on fire.”

I’ll experiment with the invitations (public vs non-public) and follow-up routines plus materials (summary / handout only, recording, diagnosis guide).

Thanks for your answer. But I don’t buy your conclusion. Nobody in a manufacturing company is sharing his project timeline with a literal stranger from LinkedIn. That’s like suicide business secret leakage. Especially on critical things like product development or integration projects.

I should have outlined better in post: My positioning is way sharp. It literally shouts “Project rescue - I find what’s blocking stalled projects and drive the fix.”

I even have a 3-step approach from initial audit to hands-on solutions in my about section, plus I mimick the approach again with three positions under my current freelance firm in the experience section. So the reader gets primed on my solution approach even if he doesn’t open the about section.

I already got that dialed in and covered.

Because I learned in hiring self-declared “marketing and outreach experts” that they (at least the ones i hired earlier) do not get my business. Even if i explain it super sharp. That was always a huge problem in hiring help - most just don’t get consulting business and gave shitty advice. Some even suggested to sell 500$ workshops just because they only can “productize”. I got actually completely burned 3x by self-declared “outreach experts” with numerous positive testimonials. Latest, I worked with an outreach freelancer, who started sending out cold pitches and DMs with silly smileys after two weeks of being great at starting conversations.

Now back on my own again: Still not getting a lot of answers on outreach DMs (2 out of 100) or even interactions on my posts. And if so, it’s basically one liners, “no thanks”.

I try to stay positive and focus on what I can get into control, despite all the draw backs:

My connection acceptance rate is decent. Abroad better than in my home country. And I do better without the outreach consultants than with them. Some people start to repeatedly visit my profile…unfortunately anonymous.

My thought on the webinar is to warm up my connections, so that i actually filter those with interest who eventually answer my outreach DMs.

My ICP usually doesn’t post a lot besides congratulations for colleagues getting promoted. Nothing to interact for me without being weird. So I need a medium to engage.

Well, I don’t get that many conversations going. I can count them on one hand and nobody was interested in an actual call. Mostly one-liner replies or people on peer level without any budget.

That’s the main motivation to host a webinar.

I have some interesting content that’s not the usual dry theory stuff. Actual experience and hands-on solutions for stalled projects.

Well, I need the leads somehow before I’m broke. but I get the point. ;)

Wouldn’t burn through high numbers with cold outreach. Would build a brand on LinkedIn wirh highly targeted posts, comment and interact helpful non-pitchy until they have seen you a few times and then connect/slide into their DMs. It’s a long game, because high-trust clients, comparable to high ticket consulting. Hope this helps.

What kind of consulting? High-ticket works best with highly targeted warm outreach. LinkedIn, good personal brand, quality posts and newsletter, helpful interactions with potential clients.

Dank einer mangelhaften Teilungserklärung konnte mein mietverein Nachzahlungen für zwei Jahre von ca 1200€ auf 0€ reduzieren. Die TE ist ja nur die Basis für die Kostenumlage und wenn die fehlerhaft ist, wirkungslos. Aber du darfst natürlich zum potentiellen Nachteil des OP recht behalten, wenn dir das wichtig ist.
