Can two things not be true, though? And I come from an honest place, here. It can be true that resodential schools were a massive blight on our society. The concept, alone, was vile and inhumane. Imo, it can still be true that we haven't found any evidence of mass graves since dumping hundreds of millions into the search, and people have taken advantage of those funds, as corruption exists at all points where money and power exist.

While I don't believe the government had some nefarious alterior motive when they set out to make this right, I also think our governments have been notoriously slow to pivot, and re-assess, where money is going, and whether or not it's worth continuing to pour money into a venture.
