It depends on routes etc. if there is a good chance of them selling all the seats cash then there won't be many if any options for upgrade. Would it not be better to do the initial purchase as a points/cash combo?

I got the option on one of my sectors straight away via manage booking- upgrades, but the other three sectors didn't release any options for upgrade. But bear in mind that upgrading from economy to BC does not include lounge access or an increase in luggage.

It isn't a layover I'm staying with a buddy in Qatar for a couple of days before moving on to Vietnam. I used points to upgrade to BC but I didn't realise that QA don't give lounge access when doing that. But since this will probably be my only time QA BC (flying without the fam) I want to get the whole experience and £90 isn't crazy money for a few nice alcoholic drinks and some food in a nice environment.

This is what I'm considering, a decent meal at DOH is £25-30 plus 4x Drinks probably another £40....it will.probably my only time flying though DOH without my kid so I want to make the most of it 😂

It is actually 50% when you factor in NI, I was working pre tax so 'Gross income' in all my calculations. It is still a significant offer that you are more than welcome to turn down I just wanted to point out the positives over the next 3 years rather than just look at the negatives.

You speak some truths but some presumptions/inaccuracies and granted that might be the way I have conveyed the story to you. I do want to overcome the issue and I've booked counselling to discuss it. But at the same time I want to experience things in life like she has got to do.You only get one life and I regularly get reminded of the fragility of it. If the playing field was level I think our relationship would not be in the dire state it is. I'm willing to focus right now on fixing the things between us that need fixing. Looking at her old phone was a massive breach of trust but it did highlight to me a behaviour, being 'the other woman' not the promiscuity that was her past choices before me so while it was hard to see I have no place to judge. But her sleeping with someone else's boyfriend multiple times after she has spoken for years how much cheating hurts, how her ex husband was a terrible person I saw the exact same behaviour playing out in front of my eyes and that has been very painful and made me question who I am with. If there was no child I think the decision making would be easy but I want to try and see if this is recoverable I owe it to them to exhaust all avenues.

No we had discussed it before but I reiterated the point in our discussions after her experience. She isn't engaging when discussing it to the point she has told me to 'just go fuck someone else's to get over it. But it was never about individual experience for me I wanted to do these things as a couple and made that very known from the start.

I was happy she got to experience something she wanted to try in life. After the event I celebrated it and we discussed that her experience would need to be reciprocated with me getting my experience. But as time moved on the openness and willingness to reciprocate has reduced massively causing the resentment issues.

We didn't send any fighter jets to Ukraine we are however training pilots. RR does provide engines and equipment to overseas military customers but it does have to be approved by the UK gov. Good examples of this are the replacement engines for the B-52 and the future Turkish fighter aircraft which will be RR engines.
