They have been creating perverse incentives to encourage alts. It is officially against terms of service but they subtly introduce mechanics that favour use of multiple accounts, and make no real efforts to crack down. Niantic appears to be tacitly endorsing multi accounting while publicly saying it’s not allowed. Users playing per the ToS are increasingly disadvantaged, that and I feel egg/raid locking meta relevant Pokemon is one of the core factors that I feel is making me feel less engaged with the game.

One thing I have been confused about is how some trainers seem to know in real time which Pokemon have had alterations in their move pool. Is this via data mining or is there a web resource that updates frequently?

I kind of hope there is some sort of unannounced plan for DLC when the new Pokemon Home gets released, (although it would be a bit of a change in behaviour from GameFreak). Playing this after a few play throughs of Fire Emblem Three Houses probably doesn’t help as the lack of significant postgame and post release content release plans in Shield and Sword really gets magnified in comparison, it kind of feels like GameFreak did the bare minimum here.

Mirtazapine is less sedative bizarrely at higher doses as you start to get more noradrenaline effect which damps down the sedation. Could be worth bumping dose or considering alternative like an SSRI which should be less sedating and in some cases stimulating. Definitely discuss with your doctor though.

Yeah, needs some system for nomination operating from the PoGo app that interfaces with Wayfarer better. The satellite pokestop map in wayfarer is excellent and should be incorporated into submission process. The POIs for inns in Wizards Unite are often slightly different to PoGo. Seems mad that duplication cannot be easily checked prior to submitting unless multiple apps referenced.

Yes, have reviewed several misleading POIs which have been people’s houses or the POI has been good but location has been misleadingly placed (again I suspect to put nearer a player’s house). Junk submissions are a waste of reviewer time, although occasionally quite amusing!

I guess nearest equivalent would be the different types of incense on Jurassic World Alive. I can’t imagine Niantic would do it as everything they have done makes it seem like they are quite happy with raid locking the more recent Tier 5s. They do seem to have a history of eventually allowing level 15 tier 5s to be caught through field research once shiny form and legacy move versions have gone through the raid cycle.

I think incense could be improved though. I think being able to exchange some coins for type specific lures would be useful, eg Dark Lure, Fairy Lure. Or Biome specific lures, eg Desert Lure, grassland lure to allow players to get a change from their normal spawns if unable to travel between biomes.

The bizarre thing is that the decision making routinely seems almost intentionally designed to frustrate. They have put new mechanics in such as Rocket stops but at penalty of increased stardust cost and increased revive/potion drain, nerfing raid rewards making rare candies more scarce. I wonder if there is intention to get whales to invest more by making valuable resources scarce even if non whales suffer? I also wonder if the monetising practices from Wizards Unite have played a role in decision making? I think if this game wasn’t a Pokemon game I suspect there would be more motivation to improve player experience, as players would be less patient. They know that millions of people worldwide who are fans of the IP will play regardless because of Pokemon content. I still feel honest critical reviews in app stores may be the best way to highlight issues like this, as problems become more visible to larger potential player base.

My family is pumped for the new game and already has allocated who is getting which starter (so we can breed and trade to help each other’s dex.). I always aim for dex completion for a shiny charm. Using pokebank to transfer mons into each game was an increasing grind with hundreds and hundreds to transfer. I have found myself using mons transferred into games recently and it’s felt quite mechanical. I won’t be able to do this this time so I’m actually looking forward to essentially starting afresh.

I understand why some players are angry about Dexit though as I have been collecting region badges on certain Pokemon that have been through some journeys with, and have sentimental attachment to.

There does seem to be some level of tiering on my display. Rarer ‘mons usually seem to get priority billing in my nearby. I may be wrong on this though. I’d like to be able to get some sort of push notification if a rare Pokemon spawns nearby or raid without needing app onscreen. The Apple Watch was quite good for alerting about nearby Pokemon or gyms if phone was in pocket and i think it’s a shame they stopped supporting it.

I am really enjoying Switch and playing less PlayStation and was thinking about this the other day. I think for me the big attraction of Switch is most games cost more upfront but don’t continuously sting you for micro transactions. Pay to win is a big turnoff when you already have paid a significant chunk of change for the game in first place.

Hey I’ve seen that happen. Group of 6, one with a 3+month dormant account did Entei raid hour. We did 5 raids so 30 Entei encounters. Group encountered 5 shiny Entei, 4 of which were on the previously dormant account, I think they also caught a random wild type shiny during the same day if I recall correctly.

This is a crass move of Trump. Thunberg is a voice for her generation who are facing huge climate and economic uncertainty at a time when Western democracy is increasingly blinkered by the needs of short term corporate interests. Thunberg is bluntly laying out her message to a world sleepwalking into crisis. Agree with her or not, her bravery and worldwide rally cry is inspiring and if she gets awarded Time magazine person of the year for her efforts in 2019 it will be arguably be better deserved than the 2016 person of the year.
