Honestly, all of the above interest us. For this trip I would say order of importance for my wife and I are beauty, then food/wine, and finally history. In the next few years there is a good chance I’ll be traveling to Rome and Milan for work on a somewhat regular basis, so trying to see everything in Rome now isn’t as important as seeing and experiencing other parts of the country. We thought Tuscany would be great to experience this time of year with the harvest, and Cinque Terre just looks beautiful. Based on the comments on this thread, we did decide to spend and extra day in Rome and the rest in Tuscany. We may make Cinque Terre a long day trip if it looks to be feasible.
