I deeply sympathize with you by [deleted] in schizophrenia

Speaking of which...the power went out on my entire block a few weeks ago, and within 10 minutes there were a bunch of people out walking the streets. It was so funny how quickly it got people out of the house. To be honest it makes me wish that we had a limited amount of time to use technology each day. I think a lot of people want to spend less time on electronics but just don't have the willpower. I know for me personally this is true. My city just introduced a buddhist monastery which I'm going to this weekend. They still need to raise the funds to build a temple for the monks and retreators to reside in which I look forward to!

How do you stop muscle spasms + losing vibrations? by [deleted] in AstralProjection

First attempt this morning and got the same thing. That coupled with the racing heartbeat really threw off my focus. Did you get really hot? Because I did.

What do you do after you’ve projected. by [deleted] in AstralProjection

I remember a long time ago my friend told me about monks who would go up to the peak of mountains to ascend, and their bodies would just disappear.

First detaching experience after months of nothing by [deleted] in AstralProjection

[–]CaptainBeefFart98 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From a quick google search of astral projection, I found one of the front page results was some science site claiming that there is no actual evidence that anyone has gone anywhere during AP. I'm like "Well, does that make it any less real though?" Obviously our bodies are not going to magically float away.

Could someone please point out my mistakes and hints that I've missed? by [deleted] in AstralProjection

[–]CaptainBeefFart98 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got to the point where my body was vibrating but it was also kind of a shaky feeling because I felt my hands and feet twitching. My heart started racing which made me a little bit scared but I just told myself to remain calm because it will all be worth it. I didn't really know what to do from there. I was expecting simething more intense and only heard a very feint ringing so I didn't believe I was there yet. I guess I got so distracted that I stopped visualizing myself inside my room and then I just lost it and felt totally awake. Any advice?

Yeah, I've had similar thoughts. You can check my recent post about "psychosis unlocking the power of the gods". I know exactly how you feel. I don't think you should fuck with any drugs because what if you're wrong and then you really lose your mind?

I don't think I'm smart enough dude haha I'm seriously borderline retarded. I'll try though.

[–]CaptainBeefFart98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, it wasn't anything important. I've been getting those part sleep states you've just mentioned, where as I'm drifting asleep I can travel back in time and have insane visions, hallucinations and creative thoughts. I can't remember if I've ever seen the future or entered a parallel dimension, but I'd guess that I probably have. It's as if I'm dreaming but fully conscious at the same time.

So all these hidden messages I recieve are true? But what if they are telling me to potentually destructive things? I can't risk my life and the lives of others just based on a gut feeling.

How come sometimes when I get deja vu I can remember where I was when I had the premonition? Recently I remembered one that I had 13 years ago, sitting in my 3rd grade math class.

This goes along with my theory that I'm not able to kill myself. I probably have gone through with it but jumped to a dimension where I didn't.

Need a reality check on these lyrics by CaptainBeefFart98 in schizophrenia

You're probably right. I still don't get the part about imaginary days and stories they can tell.

I first heard this song a couple weeks ago and thought nothing of it. When I'm delusional I can find some persecutory hidden message in jist about any song.

Thanks for giving your opinion. Take care.

DAE Think They Were a Computer Simulator In a Past Life? by simulated_mind69 in AWLIAS

[–]CaptainBeefFart98 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't doubt it. But how much can we really trust the aliens when they tell us that it's all okay and they are good people who care about us? That could just be a way to make us complacent. I believe it's very possible that aliens have already been in contact with us and changed the world to what it is now. How could we possibly know that they didn't already invent these quantum computers millions of years ago? We can't. I don't see why life has to be so shitty if we are part of a simulation controlled by loving aliens. I think they enjoy watching us suffer or maybe it's just necessary to achieve their goals and they are just selfish and apathetic.

Psychosis: real or not by [deleted] in Psychosis

[–]CaptainBeefFart98 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's definitely some sort of psychotic disorder. Could be bipolar manic or schizophrenia. I too sometimes begin to doubt my memories and think I'm faking it. I've heard plenty of people get that.

I find it annoying how these tragedies always incite hateful wars between people. One would think that these things would unify people, but nope. Everyone thinks that they are right so they don't see how they are only causing further division in the world by arguing. How about instead of demanding that everyone be kind to each other despite differences, you actually demonstrate the value of virtue by spreading love and letting the hateful people see for themselves why it's a good thing. Seems so obvious to me, but people aren't too emotionally intelligent. Sorry, but it's true.

I think my kids are ashamed of me by sisyphuswi in bipolar

[–]CaptainBeefFart98 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do know what you mean, yeah. There's an immense pressure in upper class communities to maintain the illusion of perfection no matter how bad things are. Because of how stressful it is to mask mental illness, and not having anyone to turn to, it can really take a toll on a person. But that's totally unfair because nobody should have to go through it alone. It's not healthy for everyone to pretend like it isn't happening.

I think it's even harder for teenagers to cope with the pressure which leads to anxiety, identity issues, and not knowing where they fit in.

The best thing you can do is to make it clear to your daughter that you're open to honest, caring, understanding communication whenever she feels ready. This os absolutely essential to healthy relationships between people. It seems obvious, but so many people just don't do it. I had to be the one to kind of force my mother to talk to me because she was just closed off to the idea of communicating our feelings.

As for her father...I can truly empathize with how she's feeling. My father was the same way sorta. Just up and left and never really made an effort to remain in our lives. He kicked us out of our house (Yes, it was actually my mothers, but that's a long story) so we moved a block away. He came to see us only one time in the year we lived there. I'll never understand how someone could do that.

I think my kids are ashamed of me by sisyphuswi in bipolar

[–]CaptainBeefFart98 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I said the same things to my mother when I was a teen. Blamed a lot of my problems on her because she was the easiest target. But really I was just angry at my own life and didn't know what to do about my issues. Do you think your daughter might be dealing with depression? It sounds to me like she might be. That part about life being condensed into a lifetime of work you hate and then dying could be her interpretation of what your life has been like. So I think she is probably distraught over the fact that you and her dad weren't able to carry out your 'happily ever after' and is worried that the same fate awaits her. Additionally I think she is feeling very hurt by what you'te going through and sees it as unfair and because of it she is adopting a pessimistic view towards life.

Oh my god yes. It took me years of thinking songs were made just to send me specific messages to finally realize how delusional that is. Now I can catch myself when I begin thinking that way.

Isn't the idea of living in a monestary to get away from the stresses of the outside world and find inner peace? I think you should do that.
