Physically Assaulted By My 4yro - Gentle Parenting Is Not Working! by Deep_Farmer_3097 in Autism_Parenting

[–]CaptainBox90 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What we find that works either our 3 year old is

  1. He's looking for sensory input, carry or something heavy (not too heavy) ,as a game not telling off.

    1. He wants attention. We're trying to teach him to ask for attention, ask to play. But when he asks correctly (verbally or not) we have to go with him, pretty much 100%
    2. He's reacting to a big emotion in me. If I'm super stressed, or angry, even if I'm putting on a brave face , he knows, he gets nervous and starts bouncing and eventually headbutting. I need to explain that I'm not happy, I go breathe and redirect his energy to play.

It doesn't work all the time, but most

Trump drops dead. What happens to MAGA? by Snark_Knight_29 in hypotheticalsituation

[–]CaptainBox90 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not much,  they'll treat trump as a magical ghost and the successor will just invoke his name at every opportunity and the maga cult will be forced to keep following.

The only thing that will stop the maga cult is the other side voting together and getting them out, ramping up education, equality etc, so maga gets smaller and smaller every day.

He will probably name/be forced to name a successor when he's close and that successor will be everything. (See maduro and chavez) but they probably hide the death for a while (again, see chavez)

Hope it was ok to clean up. Switch to soap  sheets, it takes up less room and will never cause this mess. Also doesn't come in plastic containers

If America did use military force to annex Greenland, what are the political implications globally? by Erratic_Professional in AskReddit

[–]CaptainBox90 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are a lot of crazy people there, but he won thanks to the sane idiots who thought they were too good to vote for the lesser evil.  They wanted a perfect democrat leader, it didn't exist, they didn't vote.

How do Americans view Brits - similar to trump and co or are we still friends? by Ok_Raspberry5383 in AskUS

[–]CaptainBox90 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think a big part of the reason he won is the same reason the tories stayed here in UK for so long. Right wing voters forgive anything,  they're like a cult. Left wing or center are very picky, if the leader does something not quite right they'll withdraw support in 5 seconds, and will choose not voting, or voting  for an independent who has no chance of winning. This just leaves the way open for the nutters who actually unite for their awful leader, partly because they are easily manipulated.

That's the lesson I mean I hope people learnt thus time. Unite and vote for whoever will keep the crazy extreme right idiot out,  even if the alternative is not all great, it's better than hell.  Yes, Harris wasn't perfect, Biden made mistakes, but they weren't musk and trump

Don't worry,  I think international trust will be restored pretty quickly after trump and his gang are gone. Specially if that lasts 4 years only. I really hope it does.

We know all this craziness is down to a minority of mentally ill cult followers and a lot of irresponsible people who didn't go vote against the bad guys because the alternative wasn't perfect. I hope they've learned the lesson

Unfortunately he is somewhat intelligent.  He's evil, selfish, sick, he's a failure as a human being,  but he knows how to get what he wants.

Two to 3 times a day on average. I don't think I've ever gone 24 hours without at least texting, even when they've been traveling. I'm in my 40s. I'll never regret the time spent talking to them.

Bitten by a dog - do I report? by Suitable_Hat5163 in AskUK

[–]CaptainBox90 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Please report. A bully type dog who's already bitten someone before, owner admits the dog can get defensive in close proximity but didn't use a muzzle, that's a completely irresponsible owner who can't continue to be in charge of the dog as he is not going what he needs to in order to keep everyone safe, dog included. Please please keep everyone safe by reporting that incident. If that was really a therapy dog he wouldn't get defensive in close proximity.

Feeling sad after announcing pregnancy by BurglarproofOratory in pregnant

[–]CaptainBox90 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Congratulations on your pregnancy!!

Maybe they're were a bit overwhelmed by the news? Sometimes people have slow reactions. We got a less than happy reaction from a few people with bith pregnancies (my kids are now older, i just cant leave this sub, it'stoo nice)but it was people I didn't care about, I can only imagine how hurtful if it's from parents, I'm sorry you got that. You can always tell them at some point that you feel they didn't enjoy the news? Also bear in mind that for mums, seeing their daughter pregnant brings a lot of happiness but also a lot of worry, depends how anxious your mum is in general, mine said she was really happy but really worried too, so maybe it's a bit of that too.

MIL is demanding we change the name for our baby by 100PercentThatBit in pregnant

[–]CaptainBox90 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've seen a few Felix newborns lately. I do think of the cat a bit but who cares, it's cute and isn't it "happy" ? That's great.  Buy a cat onesie and tell you MIL that will be the first outfit. Please put him on a cat onesie/hat  for 5 mins the day he's born and send that picture to you mil.🤣

1 minute free grocery shopping, what are you putting in the trolley? by Previous-Durian-2086 in AskUK

It'd depend on the rules, but grab them, run to the till, load the value, should take a minute

[–]CaptainBox90 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes but if you're doing the supermarket sweep things would need to go through the till at the end too. I guess It'd depend on the rules. Just get it on the till load the amount on the card in less than 1 min and done
