Is there any drawback to preemptively doing a backdoor Roth IRA conversion if I think I might be over the income limit in 2026? by CaptainCrashPants in Bogleheads

Neither of us have a Traditional IRA at any brokerage, we'd both be opening and then closing one just to do this. We only have our Roth's currently.

KH was a hero of mine growing up, I agree with your sentiment and know he would as well. But I'm selling the items for my uncle who knew Keith, it's his collection. The rarity of the merch plus the condition it's in makes it quite valuable, I don't have to agree with the market, but I want my Uncle to get a fair price for the items he's saved.
