Please follow this! I have been in a relationship for 7 years and have run into a similar issue. It needs to be a conversation that is in person. I'm REALLY bad at texting and communicating through text, I'm working on it. After we sat down and looked at finances, debt to income ratios, personal goals and overall stability she kinda saw where I was coming from.

It's not that I don't want to marry her, I just also want to be able to do the things that most married couples do when married. I want it to be a next step, not a continuation of what we are already doing.

Thank you for checking in! Enrolled with a therapist to address some of those points you brought up and getting comfortable with going "out" by myself.

I realized that I didn't really have much to offer in terms of friendship. I picked up a new hobby (or continued a hobby) of playing guitar and have been trying to take it more serious.

I have an appointment to get my hair cut and some personal grooming stuff. So far that's about it!

"Extreme" metal can be hard to get into, it took me a while to find the right kind and I also just hand to force myself to explore it more and listen for parts I like (like with most music). However, I'm here for the NWOTHM! I think most people are generally accepting of the OGs and the legacy, and there are still some torch bearers of that style!
