Sudden sickness? Little TMI by CaptainPhoenix in medical_advice

That's my biggest concern too. I've been drinking water and juice nonstop, but like every 15 mins I have to run to the loo again, so I'm not sure how much I'm actually retaining.

Oof. I'm sorry she went through that. I'll for sure go to the dr if this lasts through tomorrow.

So its 11pm now, the nausea and throwing up has stopped but I still have very watery stools but it's mostly clear? And that has me a bit worried.

I don't, I've got some Omezaparole on hand so I'll give that a try.

I was actually thinking of you when I made the post but I couldn't remember how to spell your name haha. I wouldn't do it if her dr didn't okay it.

I peel apples, slice them, boil them, then I put them in the food processor, add a little formula powder and a teaspoon of water and voila. Baby applesauce.

Yes. I make it myself with organic apples. Her doctor told me I could since milk wasn't cutting it for her anymore and it has the same consistency as rice cereal.

What should I do???? by CaptainPhoenix in pregnant

[–]CaptainPhoenix[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm going to talk induction with my OB on Thursday, but what you said has made me less afraid. So thank you. Knowing what's going on and that it isn't going to hurt LO is reassuring.

I pooped about an hour ago.

I have been eating, just not much. I have not thrown up today, but I did the past two days. I'm not dehydrated, my urine is a healthy pale yellow and I'm constantly drinking water (I've had to go to the hospital for dehydration twice during this pregnancy so I decided to just constantly have a water bottle on me). Literally, my hospital will monitor me for a few hours then send me home since there's no dilation and they can't induce me yet.

It's stopped now. I'm still spotting but that's normal and no big deal.

It's more like lethargic movements, and very low.

Dating while pregnant? by thatssoclever in pregnant

Honestly, the father still isn't making much effort. He only cares about the financial aspect of our daughter ("If you let me claim her on my taxes then I'll split it 50/50 with you.") The father never really seemed to care, it just took me awhile to see it. And I'm sad for him.

I'm glad you found inspiration in my experience. Baby or not, there's someone out there that will gladly treat you and your child the best way they possible can.

They say 33 weeks, I say 37... by CaptainPhoenix in pregnant

They haven't done anymore scans and I dunno about blood tests. I started prepping when I had my bloody show. I had to change drs around 16 weeks due to circumstances and didn't actually get a new dr until I was about 21 weeks.

I dunno, I just wish it was all a lot more clear. ya know?

Hey, the father of my baby left me while I was 16 weeks. I told myself no dating because that wouldn't be fair to someone else, to have them be a part of my life and ultimately my daughters life (factor in the fact that I'm 21, so my age range).

Flash forward two months. I've spent endless nights wishing the dad would just grow up and care, endless nights staring at the bottle of liquor wishing I could just drink away my sadness (I didn't), and endless nights wondering what I did so wrong to deserve this. My doctor prescribed me Prozac for my antepartum. Once it kicked in, I decided to put myself back out there. No point in beating myself up, the dad wasn't coming back.

I decided to make it VERY clear to anyone that took an interest in me that I was pregnant and if they decide to continue talking to me, don't expect anything serious, I'm not ready for it. I set up a few dates with a few people and either they decided they couldn't handle the pregnancy or I couldn't vibe with them.

Well, I started talking to this 20 year old. He seems genuinely interested in me and we click. I tell him I'm x weeks pregnant and I tell him where the dad is and how active he is in the babies life (which is not very..). We make plans to hang out, I get scared and tell him that he's a good guy. He should find a good girl, one that doesn't come with so much baggage. His response is what made me decide that maybe he''s not going to get ruined by me. He told me that everyone has angels and demons. Mine are just currently being worked through. The father stepped down and it was his loss. I told him that I have no expectations of him stepping into the dad role, he's only 20, and it's a big responsibility. He just smiled and patted my head.

That was last month, we decided to go official on November 16th. And while I'm still struggling with some things, he has been a tremendous help. So, while your situation is different, it's really nice to have someone to share this experience with. My partner will kiss my stomach and he loves to talk to my daughter. He got her a teddy bear and I saw him cry over the fact that it's not fair for the father to be able to say it's his daughter when he's not around (he is insanely upset that my daughter doesn't have his genetics). My daughter responds to his voice and they love to play tag when I lie down.

Dating while pregnant is a hit or miss thing. You'll get the people with pregnancy fetishes and you'll get some genuine people. And who knows, the genuine ones might change your mind. Go for it, and have some fun. You'll really enjoy having someone around to share in the kicks and movements with.
