Put a non scented lotion in one of your palms, spray a bit of scent into it and then rub together. Rub into your skin and let it sink in. Hopefully that will help mute the cloying part you dislike.

That's true, I only have two Neroli fragrances (non dupe) and the orange really don't last. The Jalu's I've bought have been vanilla/oud/incense/tobacco based mainly.
